ADRI is a Wellington based IT business, targeting the Arabic Digital Content market in Middle East
and aiming to provide services to facilitate the creation, manipulation and publication of the
Arabic literature on the cyberspace.
As the Chief Executive, my role encompasses the below list among others:
• Set and execute the overall strategy of the organisation,
• Approving businesses policies, the organizational structure and the operating guidelines
• Evaluating and approving the core program and projects,
• Managing the strategic partnerships and support networks,
• Venturing new opportunities,
• Setting up the overall financial strategies and plans.
ADRI's foremost project is a digital platform for sharing Arabic academic content on the Internet.
It is a platform where academic entities can publish (or republish) their products to wider
audiences.
Leading a group of IT professionals, through an Agile project, my current role has been to identify,
evaluate, and implement, an off-the-shelf solution where it can be redeveloped and repurposed to
fit the requirements of ADRI's Arabic content.
At this stage, a preferred solution has been identified and a technology provider has been
appointed to undertake the design and development process through to the production phase.
ADRI’s platform is scheduled to launch In July 2016, in UAE-Dubai.
− Managing the transformation of PCC’s internal ICT to the regional Shared Services Office
− Contributing technical consultancy to the CIO
− Providing 3rd level escalation responses to the internal service desk
− Managing and reviewing PCC ICT changes through SSO Change Advisory Board
− Advising the CIO on systems and process improvements
− Assisting the CIO regarding the resourcing requirements during the transition and for BAU
− Managing individual projects within the transformation program’s multiple streams of work
Projects:
− Managing the roll out of the DaaS solutions to PCC’s offices
− Managing the migration of all PCC’s servers to SSO
− Managing the transition of PCC’s Service Desk to SSO
− Managing the implementation of SSO’s NaaS solutions for PCC
− Managing the implementation of SSO’s Mobility solutions to PCC
− Managing the Transition of PCC’s current contact center to SSO’s solutions.
Projects:
• Project managed and controlled transformation of PCC’s internal ICT to the regional Shared Service Office, proficiently managed and examined the SLA of all the scoped service areas including, DaaS, NaaS, IaaS, TaaS, MaaS and Service Support.
• Guaranteed operational efficiency through managing and monitoring the OLAs of the ICT departments to the council departments as well as studied and aligning the Council’s ICT changes through SSO Change Advisory Board.
• Delivered expert recommendation and advices to CIO on systems and process improvements, Technologies and Solutions, Policies and Guidelines.
• Supporting the CIO to best define the resourcing requirements during the transition and for BAU while spearheaded individual projects within the transformation programme’s multiple streams of work.
• Providing technical leadership across the entire ICT department as the final escalation point for all technology related issues
Projects:
• Competently managed and handled multiple projects within a large program of work encompassing the roll out of the DaaS solutions to PCC’s offices, migration of all PCC’s servers to SSO, transition of PCC’s Service Desk to SSO, implementation of SSO’s TaaS & Mobility solutions for PCC and transitioning of PCC’s current Network infrastructure to SSO’s solutions.
The IT Network and Infrastructure Manager holds day to day operational responsibility for the Skellerup IT team who delivers IT services to a number of businesses in New Zealand. This role reports through to Skellerup’s IT Strategy Manager and its responsibilities involve:
Filtering, The project helped reducing the number of daily requests to allow or block
certain spams or URLs and also provided more practical web and email capabilities to the
end users.
• Document Management System: Design and Deployment of a document management
system for scanning all the company’s records in searchable PDFs. Upon the successful
completion of the project, our progress led in developing an overall document
management policy for the whole business as well.
• Business Intelligence Toolset: Design and Implementation of Crystal Report, a BI tool used
to extract data from the ERP system into pre-designed reports for forecasting forecasting
and stock measurements, The project has reduced a significant amount of manual work,
the business had to undergo in manipulating basic spreadsheets for producing the same
reports.
• Datacenter Power Enhancement: Retiring the datacenter’s old Power management system
and installing a cluster of IBM UPSs to cater for the growing demand for power.
• Datacenter Hardware Enhancement: Decommissioning number of old Hosts and migrating
all the VMs to a newer host newly added to the clusters.
• Storage Expansion: Expanding the capacity of the Production as well as the DR SANs to
double the previous capacity for supporting the growing demand for storage.
• DR Resiliency: Deploying Veeam Backup and Replication system to replicate the
environment from the Production to the DR site,
• Network Improvement: Resilience Enhancing project for Skellerup’s Datacenters
(Christchurch and Auckland), involved, cable-coding all the patch panels and switches, re
routing all the power sources, and retiring or replacing old network and server hardware.
