Grow the business volumes and revenues as set in the budget for the region.

To use route cards as a Monitoring and Evaluation tool to ensure adherence to set timetables.
Overseeing training of mail handling and delivery staff
Maintenance of balanced regional mail circulation and transmission plan to cover delivery of Company trucks and subcontracting of routes to private contractors.
Ensure the SLAs are in place for sub contracted routes and manage these in terms of the deliverables.
Adherence to international and regional routing plans that ensure connectivity of mail at the exchange center, while meeting arrival times at offices of destination.
Clear Floor Policy - analyze offices’ achievement of the Clear Floor Policy in the region and identify bottlenecks hindering attainment of this target and recommend corrective measures.
Facilitate Quality of Service surveys, quality tests and liaise with Internal Audit Quality Controller to address issues raised from Quality of Service tests.
Conduct spot checks on Quality of Service issues at Postal Offices.
Ensure all mail lodged with the Return Letter Office is timely processed.
Adopt UPU mail quality of service measurement system/formula
Ensure adherence to UPU letter mail requirements in consultation with the Universal Postal Union Compliance Officer and International Mail Accounting Section
Work in liaison with work study officers to establish standards of sortation at all levels, i.e. mailroom, prime and final sortation.
Compile statistics for mail volumes at major offices for human resources planning purposes. Ensure all mail lodged with the Return Letter Office is timely processed.
Liaise with customs officials and hold periodic meetings at the office of exchange to ensure international mail is quickly processed.
Oversee all quality of service improvement projects within the Region.
Have oversight on Workshop operations to ensure timely turnaround of repairs and services for vehicles.
Ensure IPS issues are up to date and ensure that the UPU standards are met.
Ensure that the IPS regional super user monitors, coordinates and timeously attends to challenges faced by users.
Minimize the IPS down time by escalating all challenges to the National Super User and IT.
Ensure optimum utilization of the GMS mail processing system in line with UPU set standards.
To ensure the fleet is managed in accordance with the Organizational transport policy.
Monitor service schedules and ensure vehicles are timely serviced and repaired in liaison with the Workshop section.
Monitor fuel usage and ensure the required documentation is adhered to.
Monitor closely fuel levels and timely submit replenishment request to Transport
Optimize on Human Capital utilization.
Staff training in mail handling procedures, customer care etc.
Ensure all riders have driver’s licenses and the necessary protective clothing requirements.
