• Develop a strategic plan by identifying initiatives, KPIs, priorities, project types, resources, project motives, and financial highlights.
• Directs a single or program of projects to ensure coordination and management of interdependencies.
• Defines activities, responsibilities, critical milestones, resources, skills needed, interfaces, and budget, minimizes waste, and strives for high quality.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential implementation issues.
• Delivers projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with original requirements. Creates and maintains documents to facilitate monitoring of project progress.
• The main roles of the PMO include program vision and blueprint development; benefits and quality management; stakeholder management, program, and project planning including milestone management; and risk and issue management. Integral to delivering these responsibilities will be financial management; maintaining risks, assumptions, and actions logs; resource forecasting; dependency management; and program reporting.
• Establishes and maintains business relationships between stakeholders (internal or external) deploying and complying with organizational processes.
• Maintains regular communication with customers/partners/suppliers and addresses needs through empathy with their environment and managing supply chain communications.
• Ensures that stakeholders needs, concerns, or complaints are understood and addressed in accordance with organizational policy.
• Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers, and vendor groups.
• Ensure the successful implementation of the PMOs strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
• Monitor Program reporting and assist the team in reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders.
• Establish frameworks and standards for Program and Project Management Manage and compile Program related financial and KPI information Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed.
• Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across the Program Update and maintain the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register.
• Provide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management, Resource forecasting, Financial Management, and Change Management across the project program.
• Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
• Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results.
