Leading a team of civil engineers, foreman, supervisors to execute the several civil works for construction of New king Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz international airport. The civil works are like clearing of top soil, excavation, backfilling in layers, soil improvement (RAIP & SC), construction of site offices, developing temporary access roads, preparing compacted bed for soil improvement through rammed aggregate impact piers & stone columns. etc.
The summaries of activities are:-
• Performing ongoing Quality Inspections; verifying all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as RFI responses, Change Directives, Material and equipment submittals, status reports, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to supervisor
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
• Implementing project controls for distribution and record keeping of construction drawings, construction contract correspondence, technical records, and other project documents
• Reviewing all incoming correspondence and initiate action on it, record minutes of the weekly and monthly project site meetings, review and process the Contractor’s pay applications, review of the project schedule, process RFI’s, and produce weekly and monthly construction progress reports
• Assist with review and analyze Contractor claims, and manage claims and change order records
• Assisting with subcontractor procurement and management, package development, construction layout, material and equipment procurement, submittal review, manpower scheduling, quantity takeoffs, labor productivity reporting, document controls, material purchases, deliveries and inventory.
• Assisting QS with quantity takeoffs and solicitation of subcontractors and material vendors
• Working in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies
• Assisting to resolve construction problem/issues and perform additional assignments as per PM’s direction.
Contract Management:- Joined this organization on Dec, 2008 as a Sr. Executive(Civil) at the Engineering & contracts department & handled the assignments like estimate preparation after site visit, preparation of tender & contract documents, preparing contract condition, qualifying criteria etc., floating tenders & NITs, technical evaluation of bids, negotiation & arranging reverse auction, amendment of purchase orders, handling procurement activities in various SAP modules etc.
Project coordinator & technical assistant:- At Feb 2010, got transfer to generation department for execution of combined cycle power plant project at rithala, Delhi (108 MW CCPP). There I have worked as a Technical Assistant to GM-Generation (Civil) for one year where I have been assigned with various responsibilities like coordination with project engineers, cross checking of vendor’s bills, vetting of drawings, MIS preparation, PPT preparation for senior management, monitoring progress for monthly review, compilation of reports & daily progress, follow up with execution team for progress/delay in activities as well as follow up & liaison with architect/consultant.
Execution at 108 MW CCPP :- Later I was also involved to lead a execution team for supervision of construction activities like raw water tank, DM & fire & RO water tank, clariflocculators, neutralization pit, DM building, chemical house etc.
Execution in other projects:-After completion of power plant project transferred to execution department of Civil dep’t of TPDDL where I have been assigned to lead with some important projects like office interior renovation, construction of 11kv with transformer foundations, construction of R & D and meter testing laboratory, construction of call center of TPDDL, vocational training centers, RMU workshop, 11 kv. Sub-station with transformer foundations, construction of 33 kv & 66 kv grids, renovation of flats at hostel block of TPDDL, creation of new office with interior works at various locations of TPDDL.
