Working with retailers to make sure they receive their goods on time and in the right condition
Looking at ways to improve supply chain networks
Monitoring overall performance to make sure targets are met
Preparing forecasts
Build a business plan for the category (budget, sales, costs, expenses, margins, …)
Set the category strategy
Cooperate with the commercial manager and other category managers in the creation and the communication of a corporate image
Negotiate with suppliers' sales managers (contracts / new item introduction….)
Set monthly offers and merchandising (merchandising: cross-offers, seasonal-kits, )
Coordinate with stores managers (merchandising, target, offers, …)
Organize, supervise, and control the execution of the category's strategy and policies
Coordinate with other departments (accounting, finance, IT, logistics, …)
Develops and manages private label and or store brand products
Measuring GMROI and TOS for the whole category and trying to lower cost and raise profit
Responsible for the excess in stock
