• Preparation of complex, multi-currency statutory consolidation.
• Lead the Group accounting and controls function, develop and implement financial policies, risk management and internal controls.
• Provide direction and management of month end, quarter end and year-end close process.
• Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance to BU F&A teams, improve financial processes and develop a high performing accounting team.
• Ensure compliance with policies and SOPs through periodic balance sheet and internal control reviews.
• Analyze impact of new IFRS application on existing and/or future business operations and acquisitions, advise management about the impact on the financial statements.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT team in setting up accounting system for new business and ensure smooth integrations of acquired companies.
• Ensure effective coordination with BU Finance, Group Treasury and FP&A to deliver high quality and timely information for the financial reporting process.
• Manage group tax planning and reporting, ensure compliance with all local regulatory/ tax requirements.
• Manage external audit relationship for the Group.
• Consolidation
Prepares the Group Consolidated Financial Statements (11 consolidations) to provide Top Management with accurate and timely statements that reflect the total operations of each country/unit.
• Accounting Supervision
Maintaining accounting records for the holding and offshore companies in addition to some of the affiliated companies by passing all necessary accounting transactions to have up-to-date records and issuing the monthly financial statements.
• Financial Statements Supervision
Preparing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Working Capital, etc…)
Supervises/Checks yearly financial statements of the Group Cos. to make sure they are correct and comply with required accounting and auditing standards before being forwarded to auditors.
Provide accounting consultancy to Financial & Accounting managers of the group operating companies making sure that accounting records properly provide management with needed information ascertaining that group financial reporting is unified among all the group companies.
• Legal/Taxation/Audit
Coordinates with lawyers, MOF inspectors and external auditors.
•Ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of the financial books and records
•Implement, maintain and monitor accounting policies and procedures
•Implement, maintain and monitor effective internal controls over Company’s financial operations
•Oversee and manage all banking relationships on behalf of Company and its clients
•Maintain accurate and complete files and comply with the organizational framework of Company
•Oversee and manage all aspects of the internal audit function of Company
•Coordinate and ensure compliance with the firm’s third party accountants
•Oversee financial compliance with investment management agreements that Company has entered into with each of its clients
•Reconcile financial accounts, payables and receivables
