•Make all Operations shift staff, including national trainees and graduates competent in the field of process operations, through On-Job training, process classroom training, technical training and procedures assessment. .
•Develop and conduct a variety of technical training programs related to the operation of Qatargas plants and related equipment for Operations shift employees, including National Trainees and Graduates on development.
•Analyze staff knowledge and skill levels and design learning materials to meet individual needs.
•Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards.
•Conducting Training sessions of “Life Saving Rules” to all OPCO staff periodically.
Qatarization Program
•Prepare, develop and deliver operations training programs for National Trainees and Graduates.
•Implement the On-Job part of the Trainee’s learning cycle and ensure that the transfer of technical knowledge and skills between Trainee’s Coach and other field employees, AND THE Trainee/Graduate is taking place and is very effective.
•Supervise all operations Trainees while on plant during their workplace Learning (WPL) and is responsible for their safety and discipline.
•Arrange and conduct cross-disciplines training for National Trainees.
•Conduct Plant units’ overview courses and, issuing of personal protective equipment, arranging fire and safety training, ensuring standing orders and general operating procedures are read. Conducts short operations training /familiarization courses.
•Work closely with Line Supervision, Coaches and L&D to plan activities related to National Trainees development.
Firewall Compliance
•Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti - trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.
1.Participate in the set-up of the Competency System for Operations Panel, Senior and
Rover Operators in coordination with Line Supervision.
2.Develop technical training material from Plant Operating Manuals, Vendor manuals, Operations procedures and other documents such as PI&Ds, PFDs and Maintenance manuals.
3.Develop Procedure Competency Assessment packages (PCA) for Criticality-1, 2 and criticality 3 for Plant units start-up, shutdown and normal operations, as well as specific troubleshooting scenarios covering the Qatargas plants, including Refinery and Terminal.
4.Provide On-Job Training to Operations staff, including Trainees and Graduates on development.
5.Conduct Procedures assessment for shift staff, covering technical theoretical knowledge, technical skills and field knowledge.
6.Develop in-house classroom training manuals and develop related testing checklists to ensure the training programs meet the company requirements.
7.Conduct formal and informal training to Operations Group personnel and Operations Group new hired Employees.
8.Conduct Orientation/Induction Programs for Operations Group staff through Plant Overview Training and Plant Familiarization Programs.
9.Conduct Process Specific Programs for Operations Group shift staff through,
- LNG detailed Training and Liquefaction
- SRU Unit courses and Condensate stabilization
- Utilities and Terminal Operation
- Refinery process units
10.Conduct Simulator training sessions on Plant Models.
11.Prepare and administer formal written tests.
12.Analyze training results and competency gaps with Training Coordinator, Superintendents and Line Management/Supervision and make suggestions for future development needs.
13.Maintain and administer the technical competency system and Employee’s Competencies Personal File. .
14. Facilitate the integration of OJT Trainees in the Operations Group.
15.Assist Line Management/Supervision and Coordinators to solve training specific problems either on one-to-one basis or in a group.
15.Prepares a monthly report on all training activities.

• Familiarized with all types of communication systems. Radio system; communicate clearly and concisely using these systems in English.
• Working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical & Instrument equipments and fire fighting system.
• Informs and advises shift in charge about all relevant activities, problems relating to operations, process conditions, instrument control, and safety system and take corrective measure for abnormality.
• Maintains high standard of safety practices in the execution of daily work and always follows HSE procedures.
• Follow shift routine checklist for Equipment healthiness and efficient operation and records all relevant data.

• Prepare daily/weekly and monthly report. Create Trip / Event /Incident report during abnormality in plant.
• Performs routine check on process’s Process, SRU sulfur handling unit and Utility, and life support systems.
• Experience in effective alarm management of ESD, DCS alarms in and Emergency control plan for the plant.
• Adhere to Production schedule with lab analysis for Quality product.
• Assisting in developing SOP (Standard operating procedures) for the plant operations.
• An active member of Emergency Response Team and First Aid Team.
• Conducting training for field operators.
• Encourage and motivating team members for smooth and safe operation of plant.
