Global Performance Evaluation Of Water Distribution System: The main objective of this work was to develop a methodology that addresses the challenge faced by municipalities and other authorities of computing and evaluating the overall performance of water distribution system. To achieve this objective an integrated hierarchical approach has been developed. It offers models to evaluate the performance and to prevent the risk failure of water distribution system considering three factors namely; water pressure, available volume and free residual chlorine concentration, which can be divided broadly into hydraulic and quality aspects. The research also provides new insights on how to incorporate fuzzy technique and analytic hierarchy process in the assessment of water distribution system (WDS) performance in conjunction with geographical information system (GIS). It is expected that the developed integrated approach will help decision manager to make informed decision.
