Travel and Visa assistant
• Provides information to staff members and delegations on procedures on official
travel, arrangements, UN passport and visa requirements in accordance with
governing rules and regulations.
• Approves travel authorizations (according to MOI and MOF) including amendments.
• Creates itineraries for staff and dependents, delegations, and staff (consultants,
meeting Participants and contractors) traveling on official business in line with the
current policies.
• Send the application to Geneva and receive the UNDP passport according to the
applications.
• Complete action on all classes of visas upon receipt including screening, quality
assurance and tracking and issuance.
• Liaises with contracted travel agency on complex itineraries and issuance of tickets.
• Provides on-site assistance to high-level officials with regards to arrival/departure at
airports and transportations hubs.
• Provides guidance and information to staff on the reconciliation of travel claims
through our Claims Department in accordance with rules and regulations.
