Commercial Finance function lead supporting the Commercial organization in identifying, prioritizing, tendering & driving
financial close for Steam power generation projects and service projects across Middle East region
GE Industrial Finance has representatives in over 35 countries where it provides financing support to GE industrial customers by supporting their equipment finance, working capital, and receivable finance needs around the world.
• Act as Sales finance advisor to the GE industrial businesses in growth markets in the region by arranging financing solution through different financing channels (Commercial banks, ECAs, DFIs, ...etc)
• Responsible for running and executing on comprehensive product and service strategies in coordination with the assigned GE Industrial Business’ commercial and product line teams across Middle East region.
• Lead financial modelling, tenders, price adjustment negotiations and deal execution as part of GE Capital’s in-house team.
Collaborate with the respective sales, operations, and other functional teams during the deal development and review process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated into the development of the opportunity scope, cost, strategy, and actual proposal
• Coordinate with various internal teams in developing overall bid strategy and completing the proposal - sales, finance, execution, risk, legal, engineering, etc
• Serve as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability, assist in providing analytics and financials review
• Ownership of the existing FP&A operation through reporting, forecasting, analysis and driving critical initiatives
• Provide financial leadership to the GM/Regional organization and support operational growth, efficiencies and strategy
• Partner with Center/Business Leaders to drive business turnaround strategy: Support growth, productivity and cost out initiatives (cash generation, regionalization, etc.) driving business direction and strategy for sourcing & payable operations
•Drive country/region reviews, planning sessions & forecasts (Operating Plan, Ops review estimates).
•Drive profitable growth by providing detailed analysis on performance and reporting key metrics whilst advising the leadership team on risks & opportunities as well as recommending actions.
•Effectively leverage, lead train and develop a team of controllers, accountants, Financial Analysts located both on site and remotely. Set clear roles & responsibilities, identify & action development needs to ensure superior business support
•Work with Controllership & Operational teams to adopt Subsea SOP’s & streamline Accounting & Controllership practices. Close aged Schedule II’s, ensure timely completion of account reconciliations and maintain limited/zero late entries.
•Lead & develop the weekly & monthly operating finance mechanism at region/country level on orders, sales, CM, cash, P&L reviews with product & finance leaders.
FMP is an intensive two-year entry-level program spanning four rotational assignments.
These assignments include:
Financial planning, accounting, operations analysis, auditing, forecasting, treasury/cash management, or commercial finance.
-The program combines coursework, intensive job assignments and interactive seminars with exceptional technical, financial and business skills.
-The program is led by senior GE professionals and mentors and is committed to developing world-class financial leaders for exciting careers.
-Completed 4 rotations with different bussiness in different countries accross MENAT region
•Responsible for payments to vendors for Oil & Gas sub companies.
•Prepare monthly cash flows and cash forecast.
•Responsible on accounts reconciliation (high and medium risk)
•Participate in monthly and quarter closing
•Record daily payment transactions for 2 entities on AS400 and Oracle systems.
•Responsible on approving Purchase orders to ensure its completeness of selecting approved vendors and approval cycle completeness.
•Responsible on calculating and issuing WHT letters to vendors to comply with local rules and tax regulations.
•Participated in multiple regional assignments to support internal and external audit team
