Acting Supervisor/ QC Coordinator of inspectors both in final inspection and welding inspection at Genrec workshop.
Ensure that inspectors in welding inspection are active and conducting inspections in accordance to AWS D1.1, that the flow of steelwork is continuous from welding to final inspection and the steel work complies with the drawings and specifications.
Ensure that final inspection inspectors has full support of documentation department so as to ensure that the steelwork is presented to the clients in a minimum time from the time the steel is accepted in final inspection
Ensure all inspectors have full technical and documentation support to allow flow of steel to client and logistics is continuous.

Prepare inspection for Client inspectors (Eskom-Hitachi Power Africa)
Prepare inspection data packs and ensure all NDT/NDE inspections have been completed and reports are in the data books, ensure all drawings in the inspection packs are the correct revisions and are correctly marked up including the correct weld symbols.
Ensure all paint reports are verified and complete before client inspections are conducted.
Conduct inspections in conjunction with Hitachi Power Africa/Eskom inspectors for final release to site of manufactured items
Over see and coordinate installation of piping to vertical steam injectors and oil producer wells
Responsible for equipment and piping installation from end to end, and ensure that projects are conducted according to procedure, regulation and schedules, ensure that the relevant Managers are up to date on progress of the tasks
Ensure that the details included in the installation procedures are fully understood. applied and properly implemented by construction personnel
Monitor activities and movement of crews from office and field locations
Plan, manage and coordinate all aspects of mobile crews and teams
Manage and implement any changes to piping design that may arise and ensure all documentation for such changes are in place before hand

Check all drawings and engineering documentation and raise any queries, if necessary, before commencing with the tasks
