Project Engineering
•Preparing/ reviewing contract documents for various work items including contractual terms and conditions, and vetting technical specifications and commercial terms.
•Listing down the resource needs for projects, after considering the budgetary parameters set.
•Preparing Control Estimate of the Projects & Reviewing detailed estimates of works and summaries of the total cost involved in the project.
•Establishing time span of project execution as per project specifics.
•Monitoring project status during the course of periodic project review meetings.
•Managing a team of executives and guiding site staff members to address and resolve performance bottlenecks and monitoring ERP activities.
•Monitoring projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, quality compliance and planning effective manpower deployment & works scheduling of qualified workforce, addressing training needs of staff to enhance skill and productivity to ensure timely execution of project.
•Coordinating with Consultants & Contractors for changes in the same.
•Achieving project objective consistency with corporate performance objectives.
Construction Management
•Developing execution philosophy and schedule for Fabrication & Hook- Up during Pre- Commissioning & Shutdown and Commissioning comprising of Mechanical, Structural, Piping, & E & I disciplines and providing technical inputs for methodologies of construction at offshore site & coordination with site management (co-ordination with marine spread as well as onshore project team) for a smooth execution of Project.
•Evaluating designs/ Surveys (Equipment Layouts, Anchor Patterns, Seabed surveys, etc.)
•Interacting with site purchasers and suppliers for achieving cost effective purchase of equipment, accessories, material with timely delivery so as to minimize project cost.
•Inspecting field sites to observe and evaluate project executions and operability of facilities and structures to collect field survey data and measurements.
•Participation in technical discussion with Clients, Subcontractors, and Vendors for detailed plan for execution of the project.
•Mobilize barge with the necessary manpower, equipment, consumables and project materials, to the field.
• Preparation of Scope of work from Bid Documents
• Familiarization with the project codes and standards.
• Drafting, preparing, and amending various piping engineering drawings, procedures, method statements, and reports, in compliance with international/ client codes and standards & good engineering practice.
• Reviewing and commenting on vendor documents & updated project documents.
• Preparation of MTO for structures and piping.
• Preparing material requisitions.
• Ensuring that equipments/ materials received are in compliance with the quantity & quality as per International/ client codes and standards, procedures, and drawings.
• Leading the piping test packs and punch killing teams.
• Management of piping test package data base.
• Piping clash checking & commenting the 3D snapshots.
• Capturing 3D snapshots from the 3D model for shutdown jobs, other priority jobs, and for client query clarifications.
• Preparation of As-built drawings as per site conditions.
• Preparation of daily reports for test package meetings.
• Maintaining piping work progress and schedules for construction team and sub contractors.
• Resolution of Non- Confirmances in discussion with Client and PMC.
• Preparation of Field Modification Notices (FMN), Design Change Notices (DCN), etc.
• Site Walk through with leader - Conducts together with PMC (ADGAS) and Company (Hyundai).
1) Modifications of the Bottom drain pipe, trays 1 & 2, down coming weir, and sump at the bottom side of the Fuel Gas Treater (2-C-0501) to eliminate the cause of High pressure drop and flooding inside the filter.
2) Preparing the hydro- test packages of the Vendor (General Electric) scope of piping work of the Dry Gas Compression system.
3) Furnishing calculation sheets and necessary data for clarification of queries raised by client/ TPI.
(Hydraulic calculation sheet for Clean Water Sewer/ Drainage system).
4) Providing the client with the Stress analysis report of the HP line in the Gas Dehydration Unit.
5) Providing the Vendor data for the Drain traps installed in the liquid lines of the Knock out drums of the Air Compressor package.
6) Resolving issues commented by client regarding the Safety shower and Emergency eye wash station.
7) Reviewing the hydraulic test reports of spring supports and providing client with same for the walk through.
8) Clarifying the query raised by client as to why L7 bolts were used in place of L7M bolts for the SPO provided 46” Compact flange by preparing a Design Change Notice attaching the substantial certificates and documents to clarify the same.
9) Clarifying that Spiral wound gaskets are the apt ones to be used at the Gas- turbine interfaces in the Gas compression system, rather than the Graphite gaskets mentioned in the approved drawings.
10) Providing client with P & Id markings showing the Utility stations and their respective hose boxes.
Clarifying a query raised by client regarding an offset of a Trunion support for a vertical pipe, by preparing a Field Modification Notice attaching substantial documents supporting the same.
• Documentation and transmittal of P&IDs, Piping Plan (GAD) Drawings, Equipment Layouts, Piping Isometrics, etc.
• Drafting, guiding, and correcting various piping engineering drawings, procedures, method statements, and report formats, as per international/ client codes and standards & good engineering practice.
• Reviewing and commenting on vendor documents & updated project documents.
• Preparation of Piping & Valve specifications (PMS, VMS).
• Preparation of Job Cards, Scope of works from Bid Documents.
• Preparation of MTO for structures, piping, and riser clamps.
• Ensuring the availability of material and monitor production activity.
• Preparing material requisition sheets.
• Ensuring that machineries/ equipments/ materials received are in accordance with the quantity & quality as per International/ ONGC & EIL codes and standards, approved QAPs, procedures, method statements, and drawings.
• Identifying the construction materials for the project.
• Fabrication of Structure framing decks.
• Fabrication of Piping as per International/ ONGC & EIL codes and standards, approved QAPs, procedures, method statements, and drawings.
• Inspecting Joint fit-ups & Weld visuals of each joint.
• Preparation of Hydro test packs and carrying out the hydro- tests as per procedure.
• Preparation of Material identification reports, Fit-up reports, Weld visual reports, and Line History Sheets.
• Offering stage wise inspection and documentation to TPIs and Certifying agencies.
• Meeting with Clients, TPI, and certifying agencies.
• Evaluating progress of work at site with regards to planned job.
• Carrying out Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of the various systems at site.
• Conducting fabrication & installation of Piping, Pipe supports, and Structural works.
• Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
• Preparation of hydro- test packages with the help of P&IDs and isometrics.
• Ensuring that Fabrication of Piping and structural works are as per International/ client codes and standards, QAP, approved procedures, method statements, and drawings.
• Preparation of as built drawings based on the field modifications and continuously updating the material data base.
• Resolution of field related technical problems/ issues.
• Continuous interaction with client and plant designers for completing priority works.
