Manage and supervise the geotechnical department and a wide variety of civil and geotechnical projects, including field investigation, laboratory testing and interpretation; design and construction; geotechnical analysis; planning, organizing, and project management for geotechnical, pavement site investigation and evaluating field data to obtain parameters and design of foundation and pavement structures, reviewing soil samples and directing laboratory testing programs, geotechnical evaluations, engineering analysis, recommendations and report writing to a variety of projects: municipal infrastructure, transportation, commercial and industrial, underground structures and utilities. Manage and supervise pile driving analyzer on the field, analyses data using PDAs, ICAP and CAPWAP.
• Management of multi-million geotechnical engineering projects from preparation of project proposals, supervising and coordinating with estimators and preparing budget estimates, supervising and coordinating overall planning including review of 30%, 60%, and 90% Design Packages, ensuring designs meet client standards and specifications, contract administration and QC/QA during project execution, supervising and coordinating planning to adjust to unanticipated changes in scope, materials, and equipment.
• Support business development strategy and activities with other local teams and regional leaders. Manage preparation of proposals and project pursuits.
• Technical leadership in the delivery, design, and documentation of project requirements for various infrastructure projects, commercial and industrial, water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Lead the technical development and assessment of site investigations, geo-structural analysis, detailed design; preparation of calculations, drawings, construction bid documents.
• Direct and review geotechnical analyses and provide technical expertise with a focus on soil mechanics, foundation design, soil-structure interaction and problem solving; Review and finalize Geotechnical Reports/Geotechnical Proposals/estimates and schedules to be included in proposals.
• Maintain existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
• Participate actively and effectively in business development (presentation, negotiation, Prepare and review technical proposals in response to client requests.
• Manage department staffing level, ensure that department staff follow corporate and department safety, quality, ensure that quality projects are delivered on time and within approved budget in coordination with other discipline Leads.
• Coach and mentor junior and intermediate engineers and technicians with respect to their career growth and professional development.
