The project comprises housing and urban planning on a large scale with the construction of 5, 750 villas in an area
covering seven million square meters at Khashm-Alan in the east of Riyadh.
The project comprises the construction of 2 villa types, Soldier Villas and Officer Villas using precast panels produced at site by Salini Saudi Arabia Ltd. The panels are duly insulated to counter extreme hot summers that last for six to seven months.
The scope of works also includes infrastructure works comprising of roads more than 250 kilometers, pathways and allied utilities both, over and underground. The project also includes public service buildings, mosques, markets, schools, public parks and recreational areas.
Secondary services like sewage and water treatment plant are also part of the project to recycle wastewater for irrigation purpose.

planned to be the world’s first 1 km high building and centrepiece of a development
called Jeddah Economic City, consisting of several high rise, a mall and residential areas

Duties & Responsibilities
- All kind of technical studies and coordination; for internal use and submission to consultant
- Sub-Contractor’s; technical coordination and submittal preparation; submission to consultant
- NCR Sub-Contractors; resolve and follow up
- Responsible for all aspects of the logistics supply chain and optimization of site logistics to meet the needs of the project.
- Developing and implementing logistic strategies, plans and methods for the construction of the tower and podium.
- Managing the movement of labour, materials and equipment at the construction site.
- Key interface with Project Planner, Procurement and Construction Management
on site to ensure that all logistic activities are executed timeously and fully supportive of the build program
Achievements
Amongst Others for e.g.: The Crane and Hoist strategy for the tower was revised; the Crane Tie Design could be simplified,
what led to a huge reduction of Installation and Climbing time.
Hoists were relocated to one group, so that the Vertical Transportation of labours and materials became more efficient with less impact to the finishing stages.

New King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah, Package - 422

The new airport is an extension to the existing one, designed to increase the airport capacity from 13 million to 80 million passengers per year. The expansion includes a 670, 000 square metres Passenger Terminal Complex and includes 46 contact gates, 94 boarding bridges, lounges, an airside hotel, food and retail facilities. The terminal will be able to handle double-deck A 380 and includes a baggage handling system with nearly 60 km of belts. An Automated People Mover, like an internal train will link the passengers from the Passenger Terminal till the International Hub to their respective gates.
The expansion also includes a Transportation Centre, featuring a rail station, several multi storey car parks as well as road and tunnel connections to the Passenger Terminal.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and management of the site technical office (ca.60 employees), with architectural, structural, MEP, low current, interface,
materials, QA/QC and
document control departments. (planning, project control, testing & commissioning as well finishes and as built department were
out sourced and coordination on request executed)
- Design Close Out; review, rfi, coordination, specs conformity, material approvals
- Design Changes; review, rfi, comparisons, QS, claim preparation
- Interface; review, between packages, trades, sub-contractors, preparation of documents, presentation to CM and Consultant.
- Sub-Contractor’s; pre-qualification, review, mst, ramms, submission to consultant for approval
- ShopDrwg; review, rfi, coordination, specs conformity, material conformity, submission to consultant, follow up.
- NCR; sub-contractors, resolve and follow up
- Participating in Weekly Progress and Planning meetings and following up field related information and coordination issues.
- Monitoring of and support for Zone Managers and Subcontractors on a regular basis per work steps to ensure compliance with
schedule and deliverables.
- Continuous Tracking of submissions in compliance with contracts, specifications and time.
Achievements
The airport project with its huge number of activities, sub-contractors and building facilities was a big challenge of information transfer. The organisation of staff combined with the developed tracking tools became very efficient, so that we stayed always
ahead and on time with our duties.

Shop drawing reviews of Facade works, Metal works, Dry works,
Fire Curtain, Landscaping etc.
prior to Consultant submission for their approval.

Core Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing teams of architects and engineers, preparation of design, production of drawings and cost estimates
• Responsibility for timely delivery and quality of designs.
• Management of all design phases in co-ordination with engineers & consultants.
• Management of the tender process, pre-qualification, selection of suppliers and contractors.
• Preparation of monthly progress reports.
• Support of the Construction Management team during the construction phase of the project with design related and contractual issues.
• Management of LEED-Certification for Client, with LEED-Consultant and Authorities.
• Coordination of Value-engineering on behalf of client between all disciplines and authorities
