Shell’s Bonny Terminal Integrated Project (US$700MM project)
I was responsible for engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up
of rotating equipment located in the new onshore crude oil terminal and offshore loading
arrangement. I worked was relocated to HHI Yard in Korea for the design and construction of this
project. Work involved the following equipment:
Centrifugal Compressors (Siemens)
Gas Turbine Generators (Hitachi)

Joined SGSI and assigned to Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery responsible for Rotating Equipment
support to refinery Operations and Maintenance departments. Work included troubleshooting,
involvement in overhauls of centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines as well as advise
to workshop for repairs etc of machinery.
I actively pursued the bad actors in the refinery and carried out changes to the pump seals,
compressor valves etc to increase the availability of the plant.
Eight (8+) years experience in Brunei Shell carrying out all aspects of Rotating Equipment Design
Engineering in a large operating oil and gas company.
Responsibilities during the design phase include preparation of rotating equipment
specifications and their interface with other facilities. Carry out detailed technical bid
evaluations including Total Cost of Ownership analysis during procurement stage. Resolve all
technical issues with vendors and approve all inspection and testing requirements. Prior to design
phase, responsibilities include advice to front end design for feasibility studies, life cycle
analysis etc. Equipment handled includes gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, large process
pumps, water injection pumps, reciprocating compressors, diesel/gas engines etc.

Lube Oil Expansion Project of Haldia Refinery comprising of inert gas centrifugal compressor
and centrifugal pumps.
Sulphur recovery unit of Haldia refinery comprising of vertical submerged centrifugal pumps
and rotary lobe compressor.
Catalyst cracking unit of Bombay refinery comprising of F.D. fans.
Special cut Naptha project of Bombay refinery comprising of horizontal centrifugal pumps for
high temperature process service.
Gas Processing Projects and Equipment Handled:
CPF Gandhar project of Oil and Natural Gas Commission of India comprising of six nos. gas
injection compressors.
Gas gathering station at Tatipaka for ONGC comprising of gas engine generator sets,
metering pumps and process pumps.
