Demand planning of consumer healthcare division having an annual turnover of GBP 158 million. Handling more than 200 SKUs covering the Gulf and Near East markets.
Facilitating monthly demand review meetings and forecast alignment meetings to balance demand and supply and preparing agreement on one set of numbers.
Reflecting new product launches into forecast and tracking the accuracy of forecast for initiatives as part of the NPD team.
Liaising with supply planners for sporadic demands and ensuring timely communication to all stakeholders on supply and demand, Delivering KPIs agreed with top management on primary & secondary forecast accuracy, OTIF, SLOB and Days forward cover.
Ensuring good business relationship with distributors, warehousing companies, clearing and forwarding agents, co-packers, transporters, government authorities, laboratories, toll-manufacturers and inspection agents.
Communicating courteously with internal and external customers, sharing details of products and services, ensuring smooth and clean order management and customer master data maintenance and managing customer complaints.
Actively participating in sales & operations meetings discussing stock levels, production schedules, shipments, in market sales, documentation, product compliances, etc. and supporting business to reduce potential risks.
Conducting business processes in compliance with company guidelines and country regulations.
Reporting service levels to top management, analyzing logistic costs, leading process and service optimization (PSO) projects and developing skills of sub-ordinates to improve overall effectiveness.
Interacting with affiliates and 3rd party suppliers (Baby Food -Oman & Australia, Meat - Brazil, Frozen Vegetables -New Zealand, Baked Beans -UAE, Noodles-Indonesia and Mayonnaise -Oman) on production forecast, purchase orders, shipments, documentation, artworks, etc.
Organizing monthly sales & operations meeting and closely coordinating with Demand Planning, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service to ensure a healthy stock situation at all points of value chain.
Meeting up the logistics requirements of 3rd party suppliers, fixing freight rates in coordination with Global Desk, submitting freight, reworking and documentation accruals and maintaining distribution manual and documentation manual.
Providing and ensuring shipment forecasts to World Head Quarters for the categories are materialized in close coordination with affiliates and related parties.
Ensuring timely update of system with regards to orders, shipments, documentation and clearance, rating suppliers, recognizing performance and collaboratively improve standards of performance.
Negotiating freight rates and services with shipping lines and transporters, Liaising with co-packers to ensure on time completion and shipments, Assisting appointed Logistics Service Providers to execute various operational activities such as import, exports, documentation, storage, stock check, rework etc., Providing volume indication to ensure truck availability, monitoring allocation of volume to ensure usage as per agreement, ensuring timely availability of information on delays, border issues etc.
Managing inventory, monitor inbound and outbound movements of stock, circulate stock count schedules, participate in stock checks, conduct surprise checks, reconcile books, monitor expiry report, check on FEFO / FIFO, initiate write-off proposals, destroy expired and rejected stocks, process distributor claims for shortages and damages, etc.
Passing necessary entries in SAP (ERP system) for stock receipts, stock returns, issue of samples, re-work dispatches, stock adjustments, location transfers, shipment cost calculation etc. and providing data to the SAP Master Data Team for creating shipment costs in system.
