KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Processed and awarded more than 60 Contracts with a cumulative value more than USD 100 Million. Presently handling complex and high value Contracts worth approx. USD 40 Million.
• Successfully inked long term service agreement (LTSA) with Emerson Process management for maintenance of DCS system within departmental KPI of 140 days. USD 5 million saving achieved through intense negotiation.
• Successfully finalized Global hub agency contract through international competitive bidding for managing port calls / bunker calls and other services for managing Qatargas LNG ship all over the world. A saving of USD 4 Million achieved due to competitive bidding.
• Facilitated shipping department, marketing department and IT department in preparation of workable yearly demand plan, thus achieved reduction of urgent cases by 20%.
• Conducted quarterly alignment meetings with C&S Department & IT Department as focal point in contracts and increased the customer service delivery and therefore mitigated the dissatisfaction.

Selected by GAIL Management to provide Contract Management support to Brahmaputra Cracker and Petrochemical Company (BCPL), a newly formed GAIL Subsidiary Company for their Assam Gas Cracker Project (Green Field Project) - This Petrochemical Project has an initial installed capacity of 280, 000 tons per annum (TPA). The complex will produce Poly propylene, high-density polyethylene & linear low-density polyethylene. The whole project cost is approximately USD 2.5 billion. Joined BCPL team at very beginning and achieved the distinction of being the initial 50 employees and first 5 C&P personnel.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Processed and awarded contracts worth more than USD 300 Million related to Construction, engineering, technical, human resources, general services etc. as assigned by management.
• Contracted Engineering, Procurement, Construction, installation and commissioning of Assam Gas Cracker Project to Engineers India Limited at an estimated order value of USD 100 Million.
• Facilitated in drafting and implementation of the procedures and process for C&P Department.
• Selected INEOS Technology, UK and Novolene Technology, Germany as technology licensors for LLDPE/HDPE swing unit Plant and Poly Propylene Plant respectively through ICB Tendering.
• Successfully mitigated claims against Company by subcontractors and negotiated settlements.
• Initiated several Liquidated damages claims against contractors within the framework of contract.
• Initiated standardization of tender / contract templates for frequently required materials / services and significant reduction in the contract / procurement lead time have been achieved.

• Led the contract & procurement team for HDPE & LLDPE Plant. Zero stock out achieved by improvement in purchase planning (demand planning) and co-ordination with key suppliers.
• Led the cross functional team for inventory management. 8% reduction in inventory (machinery spares & consumables) achieved after identification and mitigation of duplicates items.
• Awarded the Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) for Maintenance of Downstream HDPE & LLDPE Units.
• Awarded the contract for overhauling / maintenance of Gas Turbines under GE supervision.
• Procurement of materials for various OEMs equipment like Ebara Compressor, JSW Extrusion Unit, Sundyne Pump, Sulzer Pump, KSB Pump & Kirloskar Pumps etc.
• Awarded the contracts for cleaning of Heat Exchangers tubes using high pressure hydro jetting.

Pre-commissioning and commissioning of Mechanical equipment of D/S Unit. This unit contains hundreds of rotary pumps, reciprocating pump, dosing pump, screw pump, gear pump, rotary compressor, root blowers, packed equipment, extruder, pelletizing systems, metering units, rotary dryers, centrifuge etc.
• Preventive, predictive & breakdown maintenance of mech. equip. during normal plant operation.
• Procurement planning for equipment spares, consumables & lubricants for downstream units.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Supervised a Team of more than 100 contract manpower during annual shutdown in 1999 & 2001 and completed the shutdown related activities well within the defined time frame.
• Active participation in repair and overhauling of various critical equipment (JSW extruder package, Ebara centrifugal compressor, JSW reciprocating compressor various pumps which includes horizontal & vertical centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, screw & gear pumps etc).
• Inspected mechanical equipment / spares at vendors work / in warehouse goods receive section.
• Developed various import substitutes like extruder cutter blades, extruder wire mesh, gear boxes, palletizing rollers, belts, mechanical seals etc. with the help of local vendors which helped to reduce the cost significantly and dependency on import items. Total saving ~ USD 20 Million.
• Achieved a saving of more than USD 2 million by indigenous development of extruder screen, extruder cutter blades, bagging rollers, pelletizing belts, mechanical seals and many other items.
• Achieved 10% reduction in plant downtime due to root cause failure analysis of critical equipment.
