Current position: In charge Registered Nurse in ICU in King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) from May-6-2009 till present. (This Hospital already has the ISO, JCIA certificate (2012), the capacity of hospital is 650 beds.)


 Cases Handled: All cases with medical and surgical emergencies and patient who need homodynamic monitoring Such as:

- Road Traffic Accidents (RTA).
- Respiratory diseases (COPD, ARDS, Asthma, Pneumothorax, etc).
- Neurosurgery and neuromedicine cases (CVA, ICH, SAH, IVH, Craniotomy, Brain &Spinal injuries, seizures, convulsions, etc).
- Medical cases (DKA, ARF, Septic shock, Hypovolomic shock, etc).
- Orthopedics cases (femur fracture, hip fracture, hip dislocations, etc).
- Surgical cases and the major post op. cases that requires close monitoring on the drains and wounds (abdominal surgeries, chest surgeries, etc).
- Plastic surgeries (grafting, etc)

 Duties handled:

- Providing comprehensive nursing care for the patient including monitoring & documenting vital signs, Neuro signs (Glasgow coma scale) hourly.
-Intake& output hourly.
-Attending the doctor’s rounds.
- Checking of intubations kit, emergency crash cart and dressing trolleys.
- Assisting in procedures such as intubations, extubation, central line insertion (jugular, femoral, subclavian) dialysis catheter insertion and IV access insertion.
- Continuous drug infusions that needs continuous monitoring such as vasopressors and vasodilators and preparation of medications.


 Equipment Used:

-Ventilator: Dragger (Evita2, 3, 4), T bird.
-Infusion Pumps: abbot, I vac.
-Feeding pumps: Kangaroo.
-Defibrillator: Artema Cardiac-Aid.
-ICU monitor: Codman ICU.
-ICU bed: Stryker
