Perform worldwide supplier’s technical capability assessment audits, Provide key inputs for Design Basis Scope(DBSP) kickoff meeting and highlight the potential risks involved, Carry out design review on materials selection in various phases to support capital projects (project proposal as 30%, 60%, 90% detailed design review), Provide support on Material selections for upstream (including subsurface, i.e. downhole tubing, liners, packers, casing etc.) and downstream facilities, which includes sour as well as sweet applications, Established downhole equipments material selection for most severe (28%H2S, 8%CO2) Abqaiq Khuff Gas reservoir conditions and recommended/evaluated need of Stress Corrosion Cracking tests (slow strain rate, c ring tests) for CRA materials as per NACE ISO 15156, Review/Approve technical clarifications, Queries and deviations/concession requests from vendors and EPC contractors.
Deliver presentations to management on critical materials & corrosion damage issues and deliver lectures on fabrication, welding, and material selection, failure investigations/analysis to Saudi engineers, Carryout failure investigation for field/operation plant items, identify damage mechanism and root causes and capture lessons for improvement in company standards.
