my primary responsibility is to carry out day-to-
day tasks of Oracle Database Administration to achieve high availability and high
performance in various environments.

•The team is responsible for Database Creation and Maintenance, Performance Tuning,
Backup Strategies, Data Recovery, Data Migration and other database activities located

Linux platform.
•Worked on Users, roles, granting privileges and profiles.
•Creating Tablespaces, resize tablespace, adding datafiles for development team request.
•Monitoring oracle databases through to the shell scripts that include alert log,
file systems and tablespaces growth.
•Performed logical backups using Export / Import, Data Pump utilities.
•Implementing backup strategies - Server Managed (RMAN) and User managed Backups
(COLD Backup/HOT Backup).
•Using SQL Loader, Statspack, TKProf, NID, Log Miner, DBVerify.
•Database Cloning using RMAN and User Managed Backup.
•Analyze SQL statements using Explain plan.

Responsibilities:

•Installation of Oracle 9i, 10g on Linux platform.
•Creation of oracle Roles, Granting Privileges and Profiles etc.
•Check Alert Log errors and make necessary actions to rectify them.
•Frequent analysis of objects or schemas to improve the speed of the database
•Export / Import of Objects.
•Using SQL Loader, Statspack, TKProf, NID, Log Miner, DBVerify.
•Monitor the database by collecting statistics using SQL trace.
•Performing Hot Backups and Cold Backups.
•Analyzing Tables and Indexes to Rectifying Database Fragmentation.
•Analyze SQL statements using Explain plan
