Management:
• Insure that Networks and system requirements are maintained and operational in classes, labs, and library and anywhere on campus.
• Setup various IT policies including internet usage, email usage, network monitoring, network-mapped drives, network security, and backup operations.
• Create disaster recovery plan “DRP” according to the IT department requirements and policies.
• Operate and maintain the CCTV system in addition to archiving and troubleshooting.
• Make recommendations for future upgrades.
Systems:
• Installation and maintenance of all systems and servers on campus.
• Designing, implementing and managing the Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• BYOD: the clear pass access management system, Aruba network.
• Office 365 and clouding solutions.
Network:
• Managing 5400 network nodes for environment within 31 buildings on campus; LAN, WAN, wireless, security and IP Telephony Teleworkers.
• Managing Cisco gateways, VOIP gateways, core switches access points and switches spread all over campus.
• Planning, designing and implementing network solutions.
• Choose fiber cables and types, connecter types, number of links, links status “STP or Ether channels”, number and purpose of VLANs in each building, security between VLANs, status of ports, multicast for L2 and L3, voice management, QOS over L2 and L3, wireless survey “AP, controllers, roaming, location, policy”. Applying the school policy for the usage of bandwidth management, web content filtering, mail, file sharing, printing, IP telephony, and remote VPN connections. Define mission critical application and securing servers farm, voice management. Redundancy for the core switch, WAN links “leased and microwave”, UPS and power generators.
Security and WAN:
• Cyberoam firewall network security and IPS system, web filtering, VPN server and WAN redundant links gateway.
