My designation as a Mechanical Technician and responsible to hands on troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and take daily activity such as inspection, patrol, and also do preventif and corrective maintenance jobs in PVC plant.
I have experience to hands on PVC Plant for 10 years at Asahimas Chemical (Cilegon, Indonesia).
I also have experienced for PVC plant project (Asahimas Chemical Phase-7) 2020-2023 as Mechanical Technician field to support and controlling installation of equipment (Static, rotating, piping).
And for projects detail responsibilities
• Inspection (DT and NDT) for welding joint and fabrication equipments.
• Line check piping and reinstated refer to PID and isometric.
• Checking the alignment of equipment.
• Pressurised test (Hydro, pneumatic)
• Gasket check refer to piping Spec.
• Test run.
• Coating check (DFT).
And have experience for turnaround shutdown for PVC Plant from 2014-2024 as a yearly schedule.
With detail of jobs in turnaround,
• Water jet cleaning
• Partial replacement corrosion piping.
• Replacement valve broke.
• Hotwork jobs.
• Confined Space jobs.
• Patching plate for equipments shell cracked. (Especially in stripping column tower and body of heatbunk).
• Inspection thickness of equipment (especially in reactor shell, buffle pipe inside reactor and heat bunk, and stripping column tower).
• Cleaning strainer at filter.
• Cleaning inside heat exchanger and compressor.
• Replacement rotating equipment parts (Bearing, belt, mech seal, packing)
With my experience, i familiar with PVC Plant operation and equipment, including the steps of production (Polymerization, Demonomer, Drying, Recovery, and Bagging)
I have strong knowledge and practice to hands on mechanical equipment in PVC Plant such as Reactor, Stripping column tower, Compressor, Heat exchanger (shell and tube, plate, spiral), and Drying system (Centrifuge, heatbunk, blower fan, cyclone, steam trace tube) and bagging facilities (Silo, bagging/FFS Bagging). I also familiar with utilities equipment in PVC Plant such as Cooling tower, refrigerator, chiller for keep temperature of SA fluids.
With the details of equipments familiar,
• Reactor (With double jacket shell and agitator).
• Stripping column tower.
• Slurry tank.
• Gas holder (R-VCM tank).
• Centrifuged.
• Heatbunk.
• Blower Fan for transferring PVC bulk to Silo.
• Cyclone.
• Heat Exchanger (shell and tube, plate, spiral).
• Pump (Centrifugal, canned, diaphragm).
• Compressor.
• Bagging machine.
• Cooling Tower.
And I also known better of chemical hazardous in PVC plant such as VCM, Catalyst, Steam, HWD (Hot water demineralised), SA, Poison.
So I can consider PPE requirements for hands on chemical in PVC Plant.
