Managing CORE Networks (Managed Service) of Europe and Africa Region. Supporting/Managing Fault Management, Configuration Management and Performance Management functions for preventive & corrective maintenance of NSN CORE networks( Switching/ VAS/ IN). Responsibilities
• Handling more than 40 Engineers in off-Shore and 55 Engineers in on-site.
• Took multiple initiatives for proactive monitoring and analysis of core performance data to identify potential threats & opportunities which had resulted in enhanced network performance.
• Helping of Technical evaluation & risk analysis of new NE or service integration and pre and post integration AT document preparation.
• Undertook critical network redesigning for distribution of NAT & INT traffic, SW licenses, hardware reshuffling, and 2G/3G radio nodes re-homing.
• Guiding Engineers for Executing complex MTP & SCCP links expansions and routing across the network.
• Handling escalation of complex faults with Customers.
• Checking reports through illustrative statistics pivot and graphs.
• Preventative monitoring of CORE KPIs, identifying configuration vulnerabilities and take corrective measures.
• Receive BOQ, No of MSS/MGW/STP/IN/VAS, Designed capacity from the Solution Team and plan Node’s location, connectivity & Media type, required Bandwidth, Preparation of Source Data (Complete Configuration DB for all the core nodes)
• Periodic updates of process documents for O&M Procedures and implementation.
• Achieved significant operational excellence by presiding over various cyclic meeting with the customer and CARE.
• Liaison with the customer for meetings and support with 3rd party vendors for their nodes integration with CORE NEs.
• Successful in achieving SLAs adherence from the past 1 year for all the incident tickets assigned for CORE NEs with quality closures.
• Responsible for the operations & maintenance of the complete Airtel Africa project having MCA, VMS & VSMS products.
• To troubleshoot the alarms in the nodes & provide the solution to customer for VAS Services.
• Responsible to assign the engineers for integration of LBS, Location Based Services (GMLC and SMLC) project SIGTRAN Layers (Dialogic Cards).
• Responsible to provide real time support to the client.
• Troubleshoot in SQL Database for VAS Services.
Responsibilities:
• Commissioning, Integration and Acceptance testing of Nokia Media Gateways Mobile Switching Servers-MSS, MSC, GMSC and HLR with technical data integrity in conformance with planning DFs.
• Configure integration database, creation of Trunks Groups, digit analysis, SS7 and SIGTRAN based link sets, Virtual MGW creation, H.248 data, IP data, SCCP data, GT Table, SCTP data, RTP/RTCP data, MGCP data and M3UA data.
• Provide technical support for IP integrations of R4 MSS/MGW with NOC, Billing Servers and OSS Servers.
• Supporting VAS/IN up-gradation and testing (BLADE Configuration, SMSC etc)
• Undertake Change Delivery (CD) for live MSS and MGW, HMS version, MGW and NEMU upgrades.
• Implementation and testing of various new features and services like Ater in MGW feature, Nb/Mc interface definitions, and CS data services via MGW-MSC according to customer requirements.

• Configure numbering plan, Signaling, Synchronization, Interconnection, Exchange data and IN based services definitions.

• Coordinate with R&D team at Munich Germany for resolution of software bugs and hardware issues ensuring smooth functioning of network operations.
• Engage in multiple kick-off meetings for the deployment of CORE nodes and prepare related MOMs/TRs/AT/QA documents.
• Design the network architecture and define deployment strategies.
• PO evaluation, BOQ verification, customer concerns, product feasibility, identifying network security threats & vulnerabilities and spare parts management.
• Undertook various large scale hardware and critical software expansions and up gradations for several CORE nodes.
• Handle network outages & system failures during implementation and operations.
• Optimization of network resources based on traffic administration and network performance reports & statistics.
• Analyze test results, various call flow scenarios based on MTP, ISUP, SCCP routing, digit analysis, IN routing, SIP message handling; inter Vendor A-interface configurations, system responses with K1297 protocol analyzer and traces.
• Trace call flows at protocol level for interconnectivity with PSTN/PLMN nodes.
• Integration of SMS & VMS VAS nodes with the network.
