• Spent 6 months as a portfolio assistant in the fixed income team where I assisted the Fund manager in creating model portfolios, country and industry analysis, and fixed income training presentations for relationship managers.

• Spent 6 months with the sales team, the direct channel, where I was handed a client list to contact and set up meetings with. In addition to the client list already given, I also voluntarily created an “Emirati private and public companies” client list where I successfully contacted and sat with established companies ranging from the likes of ESAG (Essa Saleh Al Gurg) to Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.

• Sat for the CFA level 1 exam in June 2012.

• Successfully handled two roles in both sales and product development, assisting with the development of product proposals, product registration, and communication with our custodian and administrator in both Luxembourg and Jersey, Channel Islands.

• Worked on the launch of two new funds under a SICAV structure which included preparing documents on the legal side, product side, and client facing side.
