Job Purpose:
Planning, supervision, auditing, upgrading, and designing cost-effective infrastructure. Development and implementation of applications and security systems that improve organizational efficiency and the strategic objectives of Dubai Government Workshop.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Responsible of managing and directing IT operations in DGW and providing leadership and technical advice before investing in any new hardware and software deployment.
-Plan and recommend the budget for IT requirements based on all business units' needs.
-Setting short and long-term IT strategic plans with a precise focus on quality and standards.
-Developing IT security policies that cover data access, devices, incident response, and other issues.
-Assessing an organization's technology needs and making upgrade recommendations.
-Manage IT security audits and investigations.
-Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.

Responsible for technical projects in areas of Digital ICT Services (Portal, Mobile Applications, Digital Signage, ERP, Smart Ticketing, System Integration, and Application Development & Deployment), analysis, design, development, implementation and deployment from conception to initiation to closure
-Manage the entire Program Execution from beginning to end
-Plan and overlook coordination of overall operational and logistical activities of the programs
-Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support the center's and programs' goals
-Develop and implement formal and informal processes, tools and programs that support the management of the Center's programs
-Ensure all the right resources are in place to execute the program within the project plan
Ensure that an appropriate monitoring system is in place to track progress of the Program in line with the Program Plan
-Manage multiple programs and timelines and teams throughout the programs
-Research new techniques, refine existing methods, and coordinate with relevant parties during program life cycle
-Provide input to Center Director on improvement and development opportunities for program management based on observations and feedback from completed programs
-Continuously evaluate programs in line with specified KPIs and develop periodical reports (such as Quarterly reports pertaining to participants in the programs, Quarterly reports on service providers, etc.)
-Manage the performance of Program Coordinator and ensure timely coordination with relevant Directorates, Offices and Centers
-Collaborate with DGHR’s Assessment Center on the evaluation of applicants
-Manage coordination with service providers and attendees
-Handle and deal with operational obstacles and problems and report to Center Director in a timely manner when not resolved to avoid escalation of problems
-Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents to applicants, participants and service providers
-Communicate effectively project expectations to team members and stakeholders
-Act as a contact point for all queries from stakeholders pertaining to the programs
-Act as a contact point to major sponsors when applicable
-Follow-up on the development of the marketing plan for the relevant programs in coordination with Communication and Programs’ Support Directorate
-Follow up on queries pertaining to payments of service providers
-Manage the brainstorming sessions and discuss the corrective measures with Strategic Development Office and Capability Development Office
-Obtain and compile feedback from Dubai Government Entities to identify the impact of completed programs
Key Responsibilities :
•Be the focal point for business departments to make changes to IT applications supporting the departments.
•Planning, supervision and provision of support and consulting for all the institutions to ensure the provision of computer hardware and software used on the scale, and computer-related devices such as a printer, scanners and ensure they are working as required.
•Search for competent latest technology in the field of infrastructure to increase productivity and the development of processes.
•Follow-up orders for computers and computer software and other equipment and disposables computer-related, and in order to provide the needs of all institutions and departments of the company through the analysis and determine the required specifications, and coordination with suppliers to get the offers, evaluation of bids, choose the best, and then complete procurement procedures in coordination with the procurements department.
•Management of ‘day to day’ operational issues and
service requests.
•Operational management of the service through system ‘health checks’, documentation and monitoring.
•Management of support contracts and third party resources.
•Identification of repeat issues and their root causes to identify workarounds and actions to resolve.
•Proactively identify potential problems through service assessments.
•Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources.
•Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.
•Managing the help desk/ desktop engineers’ team.
