• Developing and implementing systems and programmes for Accident Prevention & Loss control as well as designing, implementing and periodic monitoring of project specific SHE&S Plans

As HSE Manager responsible for handling all aspects of HSE for the project including establishing and ensuring implementation of the HSE Management System required for Warehouse, developing and implementing systems and programmes for Accident Prevention & Loss control as well as designing, implementing and periodic monitoring of JAFZA SHE&S Plans. Additionally coordinating and assisting the Area training Manager for organising and conducting all the required training activities for various Eastern Africa & middle east projects for CB&I.
Part of the safety management team responsible for handling all aspects of SHE&S for the project including establishing and ensuring implementation of the HSE Management System throughout all phases of the project (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning up to Mechanical Completion). Report to the SHE&S Manager with line management responsibility for a team of 14 HSE Supervisors / Safety Officers. Additionally tasked with managing delivery of all staff training for the project.
Responsible for leading all safety training for the project as well as coordinating some HSE functions. This included safety audits as well as reviewing, developing and implementing Accident Prevention and Loss Control systems and programmes.
Responsible for handling all HSE training as well as ensuring compliance with safety regulations during project operations and developing effective safety policies and procedures. Also an Authorised Signatory for CPW and PTW for RASGAS Live Plant.
Key responsibilities:
• Assisted in the preparation of Emergency Response Plans, Procedures & drills
• Monitored the Permit to Work System and JSA programme on site
• Participated in Incident Investigations as well as suggesting suitable control measures
• Ensured accurate maintenance of HSE records in accordance with corporate and local regulatory requirements
• Organised and participated in Safety Tool Box Talks, HSE Campaigns and safety lectures in accordance with schedule
• Conducted induction / orientation as well as on-the-job training for crew including preparing instructional presentations for various training in line with project requirements
Handled all aspects of safety management including leading safety audits as well as developing and delivering safety training on behalf of the organisation. Also undertook the role of Environmental Coordinator as well as acting as an Authorised Signatory for CPW and PTW for RASGAS Live Plant.

• Delivered induction and orientation training as well as on-the-job supervision
• Led Behavioural Based Safety observation and compiled campaigns designed to tackle key safety issues (such as BE SAFE (RASGAS) and TIE for CB&I)
• Conducted HSE audits, HAZOP, JSA, Risk Assessments, Tool Box Talks, Scaffold Inspections and inspections of respiratory and fire-fighting equipment
• Conducting regular environmental audits to ensure compliance including compiling and submitting reports to the client
• Organised and participated in safety meetings and safety lectures in accordance with schedule
