Senior Planning Engineer

Conduct interactive planning sessions with project team to build planning package, logically sound schedule and achieve team ‘buy-in’.
Maintain schedules and provide analytical reviews of float and project progress vs baselines to identify areas of concern and participate in the development of recovery plans as needed.
Interfacing with Engineering consultant, Procurement department and Site team, for follow-ups and imposing task priority.
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to the schedule and recommend work-arounds.
Lead and represent the Planning department in meetings, and be responsible for the overall quality of the Project Schedules and related deliverables.
Conduct risk analysis on the schedule and develop contingency plans to address negative risk.
Ensure all required material, labor, and contract services are available to complete scheduled work.
Assess the impact of approved changes and any deviations from the key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and ‘What if?’ scenarios to aid project management decision-making.
Monitoring and Maintenance of Mechanical equipment thereby reducing MTBF.
Ensure reliable, trouble free and round the clock operation of equipment.
Planning for Annual shutdown considering its time and financial constraints.
Preparation & monitoring of Shutdown project schedule in MS Project, Primavera & MS Excel.
Interfacing with project staff regarding baseline changes, variance analysis and implementation of corrective action.
Tracking of materials, inventories and controlling the same in mechanical dept. to ensure hassle free execution of shutdown.
Ensuring WCM facilitation in our department. (World Class Manufacturing - A unique initiative started by ABG to ensure perfection in its major constrained fields i.e. Safety, Quality & Quantity).
Man power management for day to day basis jobs.
Active member of Safety training dept. and trainer for work at height and confined space.
Co-ordination with Process, Instrumentation and Electrical Dept. during annual shutdown in order to achieve pre-set milestones.
Preparing weekly and monthly review meeting presentation to report site progress, milestones.
Resource planning for execution of awarded work, considering the time and cost constraints.
Leading the team during execution of work.
Supervision of various RLA tests (Residual Life Analysis) conducted on the boiler unit.
Coordination with client for the project execution.
Assist with queries of our team on day to day basis.
Preparation and Compilation of reports.
Ensuring Project close-out to the full satisfaction of Client.
