Fire systems design review for new facilities, review of engineering drawings and data sheets for new projects (Treated Industrial & Process Water and He3 project).
Review and developing equipment strategies for fire equipment and systems based on relevant NFPA standards and Manufacturers recommendations.
Review of inspection frequencies and development of maintenance procedure for Inspection, testing and maintenance of fire equipment and systems.
Review of common specifications for fire systems and equipment for implementations during project phase.
Preparing Gate 2 packages for new (CAP-437 Helideck protection for Normally Unmanned Installations) and up gradation of existing fire protection systems.
MOC for fire protection system and its implementations.
Commissioning and annual testing of Fire pumps, FM-200 and High Expansion foam systems.
Lead role in Remote controlled monitor (RCM) fire protection system refurbishment project at LNG Berth-2 and 3 and arranging mitigation during RCM project.
Coordination with RLIC for Building Occupancy certificates and inspections.
Review of architectural drawings and liasin with Consultant and QCD.
Fire Prevention and Life safety inspection of process and non process buildings and company owned Medical Cnetre, Schools and High rise building.
Commissioning of Fire pumps at schools and medical centre.
To develop, design and plan implementation of fire prevention/protection/detection, equipment/systems maintenance & training. Enhance the overall activities/ performance of Fire Section in order to achieve high professional standards. To conduct periodical auditing of the JO’s fire protection systems and facilities as well as contractors facilities within JO. Also review and submit comments on all JO projects related to fire protection. To work on any future fire related contracts. Coordinate to maintain Fire Equipments/systems existing at JO Fire station and fire systems installed all overall JO areas.
Implementation of Health, Safety, Security & Environment Policy, SHE Department goals and objectives.
Implementation of Company HSSE Procedures and Compliance of Process Safety Management requirements.
Budget proposals, procurement and service contracts for SHE Department.
Implementation of Permit to Work system, Specialised PTW audits, LOTO, Scaftag, Lifting plan, Confined space entry, Critical Hot works, Work at Heights, Diving plans, etc.
Identification of potential hazards, evaluation of hazards and control of hazrads to avoid injury to person, property damage and enviornmental impact.
Identifying and displaying of safety cautionary, mandatory, statutory, prohibition and traffic regulatory signs in the plant.
Identifying Near misses, initiating corrective actions and reporting through company’s incident reporting system.
Defensive Driving Course (DDC-8/6) for all level of emeployees.
HSSE Induction Training to all level of employees and contractors.
Risk analysis, Job hazard analysis, PTW audits, BBS Surveys and inspection of various process units and equipments.
Overall responsibility as a Senior Engineer of Fire & Safety Department, supervises day-to-day HSE activities for the Refinery and assists Emergency Response Operations including following activities:
Implementation of Health, Safety & Environment Policy, Goals and ISO Objectives.
Promote HSE practices within the organisation and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
Budget preparation, Inventory management, Operating supplies, procurement and control.
Specialised HSE & Fire training programs to all levels of employees and contractors.
Risk assessments, Safety Inspection survey and audits at various process units and equipments.
Organising Fire Prevention programs to nearby community and public education programs.
Record keeping and Reporting monthly activities to Department Head.
Organizing and conducting Safety Committee Meetings.
