Working under Financial Reporting and Performance section of SAUDIA holding group of companies with 11 business units and with responsibilities on VAT, Withholding Tax, and Tax compliance of SAUDIA outstations (Branches).

Provided advisory support for business and answered compliance queries raised by clients on regular basis.

Responsible for liaising with the outside local tax consultant with respect to tax services and managing the relationship with the tax authority for all tax matters of the group.

Engaged with IT departments for development of tax solution such as VAT dashboard to reach full tax automation in the ERP system.

Provided trainings such as VAT implementation, VAT standard rate changes, and Withholding tax implications on engagement with foreign vendors to various finance and non-finance departments within the group.

Supported various business teams engaging with local or foreign vendors through tax technical review on complex transactions, contracts and proposals. Produced tax technical advice from a Saudi tax law perspective.

Worked with the tax authorities on the comprehensive VAT audit and field audit conducted on the group covering the periods 2018/2019. Performed all relevant activities including the preparation for the audit, analysis of the requirements, provision of documentations, addressing the inspectors' queries and carried out gap analysis on the business based on the output of the audit.

Organized VAT compliance check on regular basis to prepare for audits and to ensure the group financial data is as per the requirements.

Worked part of a team to review the WHT compliance status of the group since the inception of the relevant law in order to rectify any gap in the practice and to avail the amnesty given by the Government of KSA.

Prepared appeals for tax amounts under dispute to be submitted to GAZT and the General Secretariat of Tax Committees.

Prepared the consolidated tax return for the group on monthly basis and filed the monthly VAT return.

Monitored tax compliance activities in outstations located in USA and Middle East region and liaising with accounting managers and the tax consultant in each respective branches.
