After the successful launch of VIVA in Kuwait, and after working as a consultant for STC project in Kuwait under Norconsult Telematics contract, I was assigned to be VAS Implementation Executive for all VAS & CN projects, working independently without any supervision from anyone, and reporting to the VAS & CN Implementation Senior Manager.
In March 2012, my title was changed from VAS Implementation Executive to VAS Implementation manager, with the same previous roles and more responsibilities.
Currently responsible to manage and direct the implementation of VIVA VAS & CN department projects with Huawei including and not limited to OCS, SMSC, RBT, Message +, MDSP, SDP, HLR, HSS, MSC, UCB, SCG, IMS, VoLTE, SDB, AAA, MCN, WISG, OTA, GRX DNS, Smart Key for Mobile Number portability .
In addition, I am managing and directing the implementation of all 3rd parties vendors department's projects like GHLR/DRA/NTR (From Roamware), F5, Bulecoat, Sandvine, SMS firewall (Symsoft).
Managing all the project's implementation phases, including, checking the As Built BOQs, Power connections, platforms, operating systems, and manage the progress of all Acceptance Tests related to any new platform, node or service.
Conduct and lead all the needed kickoff meetings with vendors, closely supervise and monitor, the different stages and phases during the implementation of any project of the VAS & CN department in VIVA.
Responsible of defining and delivering the scope of all the VAS & CN assigned projects in collaboration with all stakeholders from VIVA, vendors and governmental sides, with enough efficiency assuring the overall high quality of service delivery meeting VIVA business models and needs.
Closely monitor all the assigned projects progress to make sure that they are under control and make any needed adjustments, including and not limited to, project resources, work around solutions and mitigate actions to ensure a successful closure of projects.
Sign and approve all the Acceptance Tests documents, reports, results and BOQs to proceed with the closure of projects then to release the money to vendors.
I dedicate myself to work and carry out all of my duties with a very high degree of commitment and motivations all the time and under any circumstances.
Always find myself proactive and react with high flexibility of verifying business needs and requirements to solve any problem and pending issues.
- Manage, monitor, track and complete supervising, all the work related to the implementation of IN (OCS) and VAS entities with Huawei engineers and their subcontractors including and not limited to, power, hardware, software debugging, and service tuning.
- Follow up and supervise the integration of VAS entities and services with other GSM network entities, like Core Network, Wireless and Packet Switching.
- Follow up the integration with 3rd party entities like provisioning, mediation and supervision.
- Lead and supervise the Acceptance Tests with Huawei engineers and theirs subcontractors for most of the IN and VAS platforms, hardware and their services, also do the same for some Core Network entities and elements, supervise, monitor and track the whole process in general.
- Involved in the initial system and services designs during the pre-launch of the network.
- Attend all the meetings related to work with different departments, including IT, Marketing, Management, Huawei, 3rd parties and so on and give the correct technical advices regarding the new platforms and services.
- Help in analyzing any problems found and feedback done by customer care center.
- I started in the company as Intelligent Network Engineer, then, within a short period, became the Intelligent Network Supervisor in Syria Office because of my quick development and great dedication to my work.
- Hands on Hardware and Software installation of Syriatel new IN with a capacity of 2.1M prepaid subscribers and 100K MVPN subscribers.
- Commissioning of all Intelligent Network releases before and after the commercial running, with high level of preparation and plans.
- Operating and debugging different IN services and find work around solutions when needed for urgent cases and problems.
- Study and analyze of all IN cases and do the suitable traces on the system to reach full understanding of all the bugs and escalate them in the proper ways to Huawei R&D to solve them based on the customer needs and business rules.
- Prepare very well to do all the necessary upgrades on the IN to solve any problem that does not match the customer business model, with very minimum effect on customer network.
- Installed the International PPS Roaming using the CAP2 support and debug it until it worked and was launched commercially then upgraded to be CAP3 roaming in next phase.
- Installed the UCB (USSD Call Back) service and defined its complicated Charging Matrix.
- Do the necessary routine hardware and software health check on monthly and quarterly bases according to Huawei standards.
- Used to do the necessary System and services check, before and after each IN upgrade to make sure that everything was going well.
- Study and analyze all the IN IP related issues with data com department to reach best optimization of the network.
- Support Syriatel engineers and feed them back with all the desired technical information.
- Prepare all the technical documentation needed by Marketing or by Customer’s engineers.
- Prepare and carry out all the technical training needed for customer’s engineers for the different IN system parts and services.
- Work remotely from home or office to solve any urgent issue that may pop up and sometimes instruct customer’s engineers of what to do over the phone to solve them if needed.
- Prepare and do the entire needed PAT “Preliminary Acceptance Tests” with customer’s engineers to make sure that all IN and VAS services work as it is expected to be, with the right money deduction amount.
- Was the responsible person to prepare all the Charging Matrices and any modifications to be done on.
- Prepared and carried out the migration of the Virtual Private Network (VPN) commercial services from SCP2 to SCP1 to meet Syriatel needs, with very minimum service down time that did not exceed more than 10 minutes.
- Have successfully finished the project of Number Extending in Syria for the subscribers MSISDN numbers from 7 digits to 8 digits without any problem.
- Was the PM to install and replace the old SMP Node with the new higher hardware one and cut it over with a very successful migration operation that had very low down time of service.
- Was deeply involved with the new WIN service upgrade, as we upgraded from CAP2 to CAP3 services with new enhanced platforms.
- Participated in installing the new SMSC for Syriatel in another site.
- Was the key person for any related issue with FERMA "eServGlobal" company which provided the 3rd party VC for Syriatel to work with Huawei and Siemens different IN systems.
- Helped eServGlobal to fully integrate their VC with Huawei IN and overcome all the problems related the MML interface between both sides.
- Carried out all the needed work and upgrade plans to install the new PPS and VPN service "Advantage Services"
- Was rewarded as “Best Responsibility Engineer” in Syria office along with another reward as “Case Compilation” for the year 2006.
I was the executive manager of the center, which was a training center and also we had a selling department, I also carried out all the maintenance and assembling of PCs to be sold, as additional and technical work.
While I was looking for a work I tried to keep myself busy in doing some private work for my own account by assembling PCs and selling them, also doing maintenance for PCs and installing small LANs for my clients, just to keep up myself updated in the IT field.
It was supposed that I will be responsible for the IT department in the Aluminum Extrusion Plant, after implementing the new IT system in the plant, but in the mean while I was assigned as "Dispatch Controller", so I was responsible for all the goods stores and controlling the invoicing, goods samples, Aluminum Scrap, managing packing and loading process and employees, I left the work because it was totally different from my contract with the company and there was no possibility and offer from the company to reassign my position.
I joined the company as Sales Engineer, but also was involved as maintenance and assembling PCs engineer, also I worked on preparing some special offers for Abu Dhabi Schools .
While I was waiting to go back to UAE I continue doing my normal private work in assembling and selling PCs, debugging and maintenance clients PCs in their places and so on.
I joined the company as Sales Engineer for Computer systems and IT solutions while I was in a visit visa to UAE, even that it was a short time but I worked in preparing the bidding documents, but for some financial reasons the company could not send me the employment visa after I went back to Syria.
- I worked for my own self, I assembled PCs and installed operating systems and programs for my clients.
- I conducted all the maintenance jobs of PCs in my place or in client place.
I worked as a manager and supervisor for all the electrical, electronic and computer commercial store in the branch of San Cristobal.
- I worked in the center as training engineer, teaching Windows and operating systems, MS-Office, Adobe Photoshop, and HTML4.
- Also worked as maintenance engineer and assembled PCs for sale and installed all the desired systems and programs.
- Attended and dealt all customer problems and questions.

I worked in the SCS yearly fair "SHAAM" for Telecommunications and Technologies which was normally held in April every year, I worked with the Organizing Committee and was responsible for the Sales Section of the fair.
I worked as a telecommunication and radio transmission training officer in the Faculty of Fine Arts / Damascus University.
