1. Logistics
-Facilitating the receipt, storage and distribution of SSIRI equipment and supplies, i.e. radios, teacher guides, CD-Players, Sat Phones, motorbikes, etc., to SSIRI staff in various locations throughout Southern Sudan and the Three Areas.
-Developing and maintaining an updated list of UN/WFP flights. Coordinate with SSIRI Nairobi office, the UN/WFP Flight Offices in various locations, and other partners that may provide transportation the travel of SSIRI staff and transport of equipment between Kenya and Sudan and within Sudan.
-Arranging for charter flights or flights of other NGOs for the movement of goods and personnel.
-Developing and maintaining professional contacts with Logisticians/Operations staff from various governmental and non-governmental agencies.
-Coordinating with SSIRI staff in Nairobi and Sudan the planning and implementation of training workshops for SSIRI staff.
-Serving as the key collection point for SSIRI staff reports and M&E Forms and ensure their delivery to Nairobi Home Office or appropriate staff member in the field.

2. Administration.
-Arranging for accommodation and office space in Southern Sudan and the Three Areas as required for SSIRI staff and project activities
-Identifying possible buildings in Juba and elsewhere for accommodations/office; negotiate terms, conduct a tendering process if renovation is needed, and oversee renovation and/or repairs.
-Ensuring that the facilities are properly furnished, equipped, and supplied.
-Hiring and supervising all local staff relating to the facilities e.g. house-keeper, cook, guard, etc.
-Arranging for lodging of visiting staff or consultants in Juba and in other locations in South Sudan.
-Hiring vehicles with appropriate contracts as may be necessary.
-Managing all the SSIRI project vehicles and motor-cycles within Southern Sudan
-Ensuring that the vehicles are utilized only for authorized purposes and operated within USAID and EDC guidelines plus logging of all travel and regular maintenance.
-Supervising all drivers in collaboration with field staff.
-Ensuring that all local procurement is carried out according to USAID and EDC policies including documentation for multiple bids as required.
-Helping to ensure that all activities of the Project are carried out in accordance with USAID and EDC Policies and Procedures.

3. Finance:
-Ensuring proper facilitation of the receipt and distribution of all the Project funds ie staff salaries and funds meant for Project activities to the field staff in the various locations in South Sudan.
-Coordinating with the staff in the Head office and the the various field offices, the planning and implimentation of all the training workshops, seminars and refresher courses.This involves effecting all the travel and hotel bookings of venues and ensuring payments as expected.
-Ensuring that timesheets supporting salary payments are properly completed and submitted before payments are made.
-Arranging for the prompt and timely dispatch of monthly reports and vouchers to Nairobi Office and to the Washington Home office after every end month.
-Forecasting projected expenses, by project, and liaising with the Finance & Administration Manager to ensure that there are adequate funds for Project operations at all times.
-Liaising with EDC/SSIRI Project implementing partners (local NGOs, CBOs, youth/ women groups, etc to train them on good financial management practices, including budgeting, expense allocation, reporting and due
diligence.
-Maintaining a clear and well filed system of currency exchanges, ensuring EDC/SSIRI Project funds are exchanged in reputable, legally approved money changing establishments.
-Ensuring that all advances issued to staff/third parties are in line with USAID and EDC financial policies, and are acquitted promptly.
-Facilitating external and internal audits and financial reviews.
-Maintaining a clear filing, archiving.

Project Coordinator, at Fast Track Teacher Education and Training Program
