• Top Down approach in Preparation of schedules (Level1, 2 & 3) and Schedule basis
• Preparation of Planning & Scheduling, Progress Measurement and Monitoring procedures
• Preparation of Planning Package comprising WBS, schedules, progress methodology, s-curves, level-4 (engineering, procurement & construction registers), manpower histogram and reporting formats
• Project
o Facilitate on setting on Facility / Platform sequencing based on Client drivers (like Stakeholders gate approvals, drilling schedule, shutdown constraints, handing over, other interfaces etc)
• Engineering
o Conceptual - Facilitate on setting of strategies like conducting workshops, issuance of cost, schedule estimates, concept selection report etc
o FEED - Facilitate on optimizing of conceptual design by conducting workshops, adequacy checks, issuance of AFD deliverables etc
o EPCI detailing - Facilitate on detailing of AFD deliverables to AFC deliverables incorporating vendor inputs
o Progress measurement covers design deliverables, 3D modelling, Vendor deliverables and Non-deliverables administration.
o Weightages are arrived against manhours budgets
o Facilitate on setting of MTO releasing strategy
o 3D modeling Copy, Paste strategies
• Procurement
o Progress measurement covers Tagged and Bulk items across all gates starting from MR issuance, Receipt of Quotation, TBE/CBE, PO placement till Delivery at site
o Facilitate setting of procurement and Sub-contracting strategies
o Weightages are arrived against cost of each items
• Fabrication / Construction
o Facilitate on setting of Fabrication sequencing, Stacking strategy, Load-out strategy
o Progress measurement covers all prefabrication, assembly, painting Onshore pre-commissioning etc
• Transportation & Installation, Hook-up, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning (Offshore)
o Cost effective T&I sequencing (maximizing vessel utilization)
o Close monitoring on Hookup activities
• Follow-up with sub-contractors for schedule, manpower, equipment status updates
• Evaluation of sub-contractors quantity matrix and invoices
• Analyzing delays on the project and be a part of process to plan and implement necessary recovery measures to minimize / nullify delays
• Risk register preparation for EPCI scope containing identified risks, impact on project schedule and mitigation plans
• Performing Schedule Risk Analysis using PRA
• Provides man-hour and manpower figures and trends for cost analysis, including delayed construction, procurement and/or engineering deliverables
• Ensures that Project Controls deliverables are satisfied and Project Control Systems and procedures are implemented
• Managing Engineering department Planning activities (controls Dubai, Saudi & Chennai Engg planners)
• Coordinates, reviews, and prepares the baseline schedules & planning package for new projects ranging from conceptual stage, FEED till EPIC completion
• Development, implementation and ensure compliance of various engineering control procedures
• Conducting Schedule review and validation workshops
• Setting up Progress measurement and Reporting requirements
• Utilization of Earned Value management for productivity and Performance monitoring
• Perform Schedule achievability and Schedule Risk analysis for all projects
• Planning support on occurrence of trends/change orders/Management of Change
• Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments and work requirements
• Consolidation of Progress & productivity for all projects
• Preparation of Engineering Resource forecast based on present and future projects
• Provides Engineering functional planning support to the project planning teams
• Provides training to the junior planners in regards to whole planning, monitoring & project controls
• Assists in development and implementation of project planning procedures appropriate for the project, which are in compliance with company and client requirements.
• Prepare Bid schedules and planning deliverables
• Conducts Cold eye review on planning systems of EPIC projects along with Risk analysis
• Preparing the manpower utilization report across all functional as well as project departments
• Involved in budgeting, commitment monitoring, expenditure reporting, cost estimates to completion, invoice preparation and project cost reporting activities
• Ensures effective project change management is implemented and trends & forecasts are reflected
• Assists in preparation of final project close-out report
• Prepares project cost control reports and documentation
• Maintains all project forecasts and payment schedules
• Monitors variances from the current budget and assists team members with the control formulation and interpretation of budgets, trends and estimates at completion
• Interfaces with project accounting to ensure that invoicing and costs are as planned
