Reports to QHSE Manager, Sr. Safety Officer and Project Manager regarding safety matters during mall and theme park operations.
Conduct inspections of the real estate asset and properties of Ezdan Holding such as Apartment and residential compounds.
Develops and reviews mall safety procedures.
Develops and reviews the Magical Festival Village (Theme Park) safety procedures
Develops, implements and tests of the all the contingency plans in the event of major incidents such as fire, medical, security threats, adverse weather, water leaks, flooding and gas leaks.
Conducts regular drills to ensure that all personnel understand their role and responsibilities when it comes to real emergency.
Inspects the hygiene and sanitation and fire safety compliance of line shops, Food and Beverage Outlets, common area of shopping malls and Theme Park premises.
Participates in the development, review and implementation of traffic management and access route in the new and existing mall and theme park.
Conducts risk assessment and monitors if the recommended control measures are in place or being followed in all the receiving or loading dock.
Conducts risk assessment and hazard identification of rides installation, newly installed rides and games, shop fitting out, maintenance works and the area of operations to ensure that risk controls are reasonably practicable and in place.
Ensures that the access and egress route of the pedestrians are managed to reduce the risk of interaction with vehicle.
Monitors the fit out contractors and maintenance activities with regards to HSE compliant
Conducts safety induction, regular tool box talks, team briefing to the employees and subcontractors.
Conducts training to all customers and tenant staff with regards to fire safety, evacuation protocol and fire alarm response
Ensures that there is adequate fixed/portable firefighting equipment available in the mall /theme park premises and such equipment is well maintained and service on a regular basis.
Inspects the leased or tenant units regularly to ensure that all preventive maintenance of Electrical, HVAC, Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting are being carried out.
Responds and investigates all fire alarms activation to identify the root cause.
Carries out regular fire risk assessment to identify fire hazard and associated risk of fire.
Monitors and inspects that adequate means of escape are maintained and unobstructed.
Inspects and confirms appropriate escape route /exit signage and lighting is in place.
Records all accident and near misses and notifies the concerned department at once.
Participates in the daily morning briefing, site walk around with facilities, projects and guest relation personnel.
Monitors and implements permit to Work System.
Reports to HSE Manager regarding safety matters, inspection and site tours.
Participates in the preparation and revision of Zone Specific HSE Plan in accordance with client requirement and as per current site condition and practices.
Participates in company’s internal HSE audit and provides advises to the Parcel HSE Engineers and other Coordinators to achieve continual improvement.
Monitors compliance of company and subcontractor personnel on the approved Project Safety Plan, safety procedures, method statement and risk assessment.
Conducts daily site safety inspections to monitor the activities against documented safe system of work and/or Permit to Work.
Reviews Non Conformances and Stop Work Orders issued by Parcel HSE Engineers prior to issuance to the site supervision and subcontractors.
Liaises with site personnel, staff and supervision on matters concerning safety.
Expedites closing of Non-conformances or Corrective Actions through the construction group as a result of client and consultant inspection and audit carried out.
Prepares daily inspection reports and send a copy to the Site Managers and HSE Manager.
Ceases imminent danger activity and issues stop work order immediately and reports the concern to the Site Managers and Zone HSE Manager.
Records all accident and near misses and notifies Site Managers and HSE Manager at once.
Participates in accident and incident investigation and prepares report.
Attends safety coordination meeting with site construction team.
Participates in the site walk around with other contractors, consultant and client safety representatives.
Attends and conducts weekly toolbox talks meeting and creates safety awareness among all employees regarding HSE matters.
Reviews all subcontractors daily, weekly and monthly reports such as but not limited to scaffold inspection reports, third party certificates and equipment maintenance report.
Reviews Method Statement and prepares specific Risk Assessment.
Coordinates and assists Site Managers in handling emergency situation.
Acts as Zone HSE - In charge in the absence of Zone HSE Manager.
Drafts and prepares HSE related correspondence to be issued to all contractors and department.
o Supervises the implementation of safety awareness with regards to all rules and regulation of the company.
