Heading the team responsible for setting up the legal and the financial structures of a USD100 million agricultural project in Sudan inclusive of ERP implementation, team building, policies and procedures, relationship with equity investors as well as financial institutions, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and treasury.

Leading the company through two rounds of equity raising (USD60 million) with prominent co-investors and three rounds of debt raising with Lebanese Banks (USD40 million) including valuations, due diligence and legal agreements.

Taking the project from a Greenfield status to a commercialized status with annual sales of 60, 000 MT of cattle feed to clients in the GCC and China and a positive EBITDA margin of 40% in the second year of operation.

Part of a team that created FB Green, a company focused on tackling food security in the GCC by offering agricultural investments in Africa to a wide shareholder base in the MENA region and beyond.

Managed debt and equity raising for existing companies as well as new ventures resulting in two new projects in Ethiopia (USD 100 million in capital) and Sudan (USD 100 million in balance sheet size).

Oversaw valuation, negotiation of legal agreements, due diligence, deal closing and packages with banks.

Managed the finances of an existing portfolio of companies across soft commodity trading and distribution in Thailand and Angola with a T/O of more than USD 250 million (financial reporting, liaison with suppliers, clients and financial institutions, audit and taxes).

•Completed more than 20 transactions across buy-side and sell-side M&A, debt and equity financing, restructuring, valuations and financial advisory for a total value of around USD 1 billion in various sectors.

•Responsible for the full transaction cycle inclusive of drafting mandates, preparing information checklists, Q&A with C-Level executives, industry research, financial modeling, information and valuation memoranda, LOI’s, Term sheets and all the way through reviewing binding legal agreements and participating in negotiations.

Liaised with various technical, legal and financial consultants and managed a team of four analysts and associates.

Capital Guidance is a family office with AUM US$2 bn under management and offices in Beirut, Geneva, Washington and Paris.

Responsible for analyzing portfolio companies in addition to participating in the execution of add-on acquisitions.

Held responsibility for seven entities operating in the F&B sector with a T/O of USD 70 million.

Improved working capital, asset purchases and optimized the cash conversion cycle for these 7 entities.

Assisted the management in the roll-out plan for 15 additional F&B outlets in the MENA region with duties that include feasibility studies, budgeting, funding needs, capital structure, consolidation, valuation and what-if scenarios.
