Duties and responsibilities:
•Responsible for the design, coordination, delivery and evaluation of technical training and personal development programs designed to improve staff performance and productivity
•Delivering a regular program of orientation sessions, on-the-job training, demonstrations, conferences, workshops, team building exercises and communications seminars
•Liaising with upper management to develop accurate new training objectives based on company policy, performance and strategy
•Working alongside experienced employees to keep abreast of the changing job requirements in order to develop useful cross-training initiatives
•Accountable for departmental performance as driven by focused operational reviews leading to the development of systems and procedures designed to improve work-flow process alignment
Duties and responsibilities:
•Supervising a team of 11 in the production of high-quality primary aluminium products during startup of a state-of-the-art cast house producing over 500, 000 tons per annum
•Responsible for the planning and coordination of daily team activities and plant operations using flexible task allocation responsive to both immediate production and process requirements, and to the interlocking workflow needs of other units
•Driving improvements in performance, efficiency and product quality through hands-on monitoring of equipment and staff, especially with respect to work-related grievances
Duties and responsibilities:
•Playing a key role in the successful startup of phase one and two of a brand new aluminium smelter constructed in private partnership with the government of Mozambique
•Responsible for optimization-focused and yet safety-conscious monitoring of equipment - requesting maintenance when required and compiling regular production reports
•Using thorough knowledge of all plant to step into any of the anode baking furnace roles, as well as to act as shift supervisor when required
