• Review the plan or scope of work in the lab with the relevant professor of the course.
• Direct, coordinate, and advise students in test procedures.
• Write technical papers and reports; and prepare standard solutions, reagents and specifications necessary to conduct tests.

• Conducted various chemical and physical laboratory tests using spectrophotometers, titrations, conductivity meters, pH meters, turbidity meters.
• Estimate how much chlorine you need to be added to the drinking-water at the water treatment plant by the chlorine demand method to ensure there will be sufficient residual chlorine present in the water to protect the water during storage and distribution.
• To do jar test method to determine the most effective and optimum dosage of coagulant to remove colloids that causes turbidity.
• Determine trace metals in drinking water using Atomic Absorption that allows switching between flame, graphite furnace and hydride system.
• Determine TOC (total organic carbon) by Ultraviolet- Persulfate oxidation method with nondispersive infrared (NDIR) analyzer.
• Perform laboratory tests following SOPs and validated analytical methods in accordance to ISO and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) reference and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials).
• Ensure that the calibration/verification of analytical instruments, the use of certified analytical reference standards are established and followed, prior use of equipment.

• To evaluate and validate the laboratory data quality.
• Maintain appropriate records and establish a document control system
• Read and understand technical manuals and protocols.
• Assist in writing SOPs
