Job Description:
• Sr. Planning Engineer under the Project Management Office (PMO) of Ashghal Building Affairs reporting to Programme Controls lead, Design Advisors & Construction Advisors. Responsible for managing and updating the programme of Building Affairs Managed Design Projects based on the information received from Design Managers. Analyzing the workload to determine the requirement of potential recruitment of additional Design Engineers. Updating the status of Design gateways and identifying the required decisions from higher management to mitigate the delays. Verification of monthly reports from Design Consultants, Contractors/Supervision Consultants through the Design/Project Managers and produce consolidated monthly reports in a form of Dashboard and distributed to Department Managers and Director of Building Affairs.
• Responsible for checking the monthly KPIs submitted by Building Affairs Project Management Consultant (MACE | ECHARRIS) in coordination with the Project Controls Lead of BA-PMO and PMC prior to submission in the Building Affairs Director and President Office. Responsible in producing monthly payment trend and histograms against the updated monthly forecast final cost of each project managed by PMC to help the Building Affairs Management budget decision making. Assisting the PMO staff in producing required reports most especially to the Client of Building Affairs.
Job Description:
• Sr. Planning Engineer for Roads Project Management Department of Infrastructure Affairs in Public Works Authority (ASHGHAL) of Doha City, Qatar. Monitoring & Controlling Projects from Pre Contract to Post Contract. Implementing Primavera P6 Web for Periodic Updates against Baseline Schedules and Primavera Contract Manager to control contractual and administrative aspects of the projects. Conducted site visits and P6 Web & PCM orientation to the users of Contractors & Consultants.
• Responsible for project control of Major Roads & Drainage projects that includes sewage treatment plants construction and micro tunneling. Manage and lead the planning engineers of Contractors & Consultants.
• Participate for interview and evaluating Planning Engineer of Consultants and Contractors prior to staff mobilization and giving access in Primavera P6 Web and Primavera Contract Manager of ASHGHAL database. Responsible for reviewing baseline schedules submitted by Contractor/Design Consultants and supervision consultants. Prepared individual monthly reports of the projects handled in relation to periodic updates from Primavera P6 Web and Primavera Contract Manager. Attend baseline program review meetings, progress review meetings, Extension of Time review meetings and planning meetings. Periodic updates to ASHGHAL Project Managers about the status of their projects.
• Responsible for review and recommend approval of baseline programme of Viva Bahriya Plots 22 & 23 Main Contract Works at The Pearl Qatar to the Resident Engineer. Advice the Management for project risk’s whilst create potential knock-on effect in the completion dates and advice risk control measures. Advice strategies to the Contractor Planning Engineer in the development of detailed baseline schedule. Recommended project control formats and adopted by the project.

•Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialties and identifies significant activities supporting inter- discipline requirements and identifies critical path for discipline or specialty work activities.
