Overseeing an entire portfolio of solar and energy storage projects from conceptual design and layout stage of project development and taking it through financing and construction and overseeing the operation of assets along with Asset Management teams. Selecting the right technology for each project and negotiating Material Supply Agreements for key equipment like MPT/GSU, PV Modules, Racking/Tracking, and Inverters. Hiring, mentoring, and managing people as part of building a team of superstars.
Overseeing the solar and solar + storage operations, engineering and construction of retrofits, new projects, and project/portfolio acquisitions. Performing technical and commercial due diligence on projects/portfolio acquisitions. Managing operations team to deliver results. Generation budgeting and financial budgeting is other key responsibility
Leading the application engineering team to provide the best-engineered product for the North American market. Have been engaged with customers on both PV and storage projects to provide engineering feedback on design and products. Working with R&D teams in HQ to provide input and design suggestions of storage product. Training and mentoring the applications engineering and sales team to equip them with the right knowledge to build up the knowledge base and be individual contributors. Building up the team, finding the right talent and making the team stronger is one of the key efforts to establish a solid footprint of the company in North America.
Performed high-level engineering design, project managing the complete lifecycle of complex projects, programs, budgets and initiatives for PV and PV + energy storage Projects. Leading the efforts through financing projects with the finance team. Managed equipment selection, EPC contract negotiations, testing and commissioning of PV field and high voltage substation, O&M contracting, plant operations (PV and substation routine maintenance and troubleshooting) during the operations phase, project development, SCADA design, and testing. Asset management of under-operation solar plants, O&M contractor management ensuring O&M agreements are being followed.
- Developed EPC and O&M contracts and technical exhibits
- Establishing asset management processes, procedures, and successful asset managing the first ever asset owned by the company and onwards.
Commissioning Solar Power Plant including the following:
1- DC Side of the Solar Plant
2- Inverters
3- Step up transformers
4- MV switchgear
Responsible for commissioning 13MW solar Power Plant with the following equipment:
1) 33kV Transformers
2) Auxiliary Transformers
3) Power Inverters
4) Ring Main Units
5) 33kV switchgear
6) LV switchgear
7) Solar Modules and DC junction boxes
8) CCTV, Fire alarm and ground grid
Projects Worked On:
i) Distribution and installation of 600 Solar Home Systems each 320w in Helmand province for MASDAR (UAE) & UAE Task Force in Afghanistan.
ii) Provision and Installation of 3MW solar power system for US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Badakhshan province of Afghanistan and spreading the network in the US base.
iii) Installation of solar water pumps in Herat province of Afghanistan for watering road medians in the city of Herat for Municipality.
iv) Installation of 70pcs of solar street lights in Ghor province for UNOPS.
v) Provision & installation of 27kW solar power system in Kandahar university for ISAF.
vi) Installation of 20pcs of solar street lights in Ghazni province Governor house for Polaish Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT).
vi) Installation of solar water pump in Logar District Governor's office for UNOPS.
vii) Installation of 295pcs solar street lights in the city of Kabul for US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Afghanistan
Stringing, Dead ending, clipping of 97km long 110kV Transmission Line from Jalalabad, to Naghlu Power station under the consultancy of SMEC (Australia).
our company and my work majorly deals with Erection, Stringing and substations.
currently I am working on erection and stringing of 220KV Trasmission Line here in Pakistan.
Working as a TRAINEE ENGINEER in Hydro Power Plant on Operation and Maintanance of Generation Units. studying Electrical Drawings and working on Protection Panels.
