Company Profile: Trident Kuwait is/was an US based military contracting company catering primarily to US Army in Middle East, Africa and Europe with offices in Kuwait and USA. Started as Engineering firm during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Trident was primarily engaged in leasing of office equipment’s (Photocopiers, Networked multifunctional devices), vehicles, providing procurement services, auctioneering services, demilitarization services, warehousing, shipping, printing & supplying office supplies through Basix outlets at US Army bases in Kuwait (formerly in Iraq & Afghanistan). Besides US and Kuwait, Trident had active operations throughout Middle East (Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi, Jordan, Turkey), Africa (Djibouti), Europe (Greece, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy & Belgium).

Nature of Work:
• Book-keeping. Independent handling of all Accounts up to finalization.
• Posting into QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions (Accounting package QB Financials by accessing the company’s main Server based in US directly from Kuwait via VPN tunnel)
• Regular Invoicing of all local, middle-eastern and European customers. Trident had multiple equipment leasing, procurement, shipping and other contracts with the US Army and associated sub-contractors and third-parties.
• Posting of US army raised invoices into WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow), a US Army online invoice submission and processing utility
• Handled Accounts Payables and followed up Accounts Receivable.
• Payroll - Preparation of monthly payroll for Kuwait and Bahrain manpower.
• Handling of Petty cash and Banking including Cheque payments.

• Travel to Qatar and Djibouti with the Auctioning team and handle financial part of annual Auctioning events held for De-Mil property as per contract requirements. Ratqa also held Electrical Maintenance Contracts at KNPC Mina Abdullah Refinery. Its sister company, Beyader Construction Company W.L.L., Kuwait, was primarily involved in supplying manpower for Air-conditioning, Civil Maintenance, Furnishing contracts with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), KNPC & miscellaneous construction projects for outside clients. I worked under the sponsorship of Beyader Construction Co. Started as a trainee under 3 Charted Accountants and was promoted as Junior Accountant.

Nature of Work:
• Leave and Indemnity Calculations - Calculate the leave salary and indemnity of employees as and when they go on vacations and when they left for good.
• Book keeping. Was involved in all aspects of book-keeping, primarily passing of entries, maintain manual written records as Journals, Ledgers, Cash and Bank Payment Vouchers, Receipt vouchers, Maintain Cash book, Assist in invoicing and update invoice registers, raise debit and credit notes, regularly update various company files mostly maintained as spreadsheets in excel, prepare analysis of expenses, categorize bills for each contracts, keep track of creditors, assist in preparing and updating Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, miscellaneous data entry works etc.
• Posting. Regular posting of the entries passed on regular basis into Sage Financial controller (Accounting Software)
• Reporting - Assist in generating reports - Prepare system generated reports as required by management and assist auditors.
• Finalize documentation for payment of suppliers and release payments duly sanctioned from above.
• Prepare, maintain and review monthly Bank Reconciliation statements.
• Temporarily worked as manpower coordinator as reliever. In this capacity, I directly reported to the Contract Manager and coordinated with him the manpower movements. I was responsible for deployment and rotation of manpower working at various sites. Additional responsibilities included filling employee time-sheets, keep track of their overtimes and preparing absentee, leave & overtime reports as required by the payroll department.
• Temporarily, I was assigned to work in Payroll department as reliever for 3 months. In this capacity, I was responsible for payroll of over 600 employees through company specific payroll software.
