Directly involved in the order taking and order placing process while
dealing with guest requests and orders, courteously, efficiently and
promptly.
Know all menus and ongoing promotions in the outlet by heart and gives
recommendations to guests upon request.
Answer the Room Service telephones, if and when required
Make myself familiar with all relevant issues concerning the Room
Service
Attend regular training session in line with the departmental SOP’s i.e.
guest care, product knowledge, grooming standards, telephone manners
etc
Familiar with the company’s internal policies and safety procedures and
carries out other related tasks entrusted by the Room Service Manager
from time to time
Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and
employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the
environment
Ensure proper appearance and grooming while on duty
Actively participate in and conduct daily briefing. To meet internal and external guests expectations is an overriding priority.
To ensure the projects standards are followed and adhered to by all the members of the staff.
To ensure that all administrative and housekeeping operations are managed effectively. Meet with housekeeping supervisors /departments supervisors to review housekeeping status and follow up actions.
Contact floor supervisors to resolve floor discrepancy rooms.
Answer departmental calls after 3 rings using correct salutations and use correct telephone etiquette.
Access all functions of the computer accordance to the departmental specifications.
Issue housekeeping items to floor attendants for delivery to the guest rooms.
Answer phone calls and greet visitors.
Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence.
Ensure the office is clean and tidy throughout the day Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings.
Collate and distribute mails.
