• Procurement of materials and other related products;
• Review/Assess technical specification, BoQ (Bill of Quantity) and drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers;
• Analyze and evaluate all purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in description of material and equipment;
• Review vendors and suppliers quotations to determine best price and deliver date;
• Prepare & issue purchase orders in accordance with selected suppliers, price and technical specifications;
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure that target prices, company’s terms and conditions are met;
• Prepare comparative analyses documents related to specs, price, delivery conditions and mode of transportation;
(LOGISTICS CONTROLLER)
• Follow up with suppliers for the readiness of shipments;
• Gather rates from shipping lines/agents or forwarders in order to proceed shipment
• Arrangement of shipment pick up from the suppliers’ premises;
• Closely follow up with RS Iraqi Offices to get actual status of shipment at destination
• Follow up with Accounting Department for any payment to vendors/agents/suppliers
• Intimate relevant RS office for custom clearance etc
• Follow up for shipping documents
• Prepare Delivery Notes (DN), Material Receipt Voucher (MRV), Inspection Note Report (INR) to be sent to our Iraq offices;
• Maintain status sheet for each and every shipment and send to RS Iraq office on daily basis.
• Coordinate with all the branch logistics and all departments regarding shipments
• Follow up of shipments to the end-user;
PROJECT ENGINEER- IDHI PORTS AND SHIPPING INC.
(November 5, 2007 to November 11, 2013)
• Responsible for implementation of design and project tracking of ship building activities and ship design modifications. Coordinates with Naval Architects and Marine Engineers to ensure standards are met. Reviews proposals submitted by contractors and prepares budget schedule for every project. Coordinates field work of controls/monitors on-site contractors.
• Coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants. Plans, schedules, conduct, and coordinates assigned engineering work. Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants, and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied. Expected however, to have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions. Report directly to the President regarding weekly project status reports and change orders. Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals. Budget monitoring and trend tracking. Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and management project issues.
• Assists in O&M of existing vessels (6 tugs and 8 barges) . Do Multi tasking if required such as closely monitoring of Fuel consumption of all Tugboats, Barges, & Heavy Equipments. Plans, Implements, & coordinates Preventive Maintenance. If in need of all replacement parts, searches for prospect supplier local & abroad & schedules the purchasing department in buying the spare parts needed to be ahead of project schedule. Finishing all repairs beyond the given deadline is always the objective.
• Serves as resource regarding facilities operation in the areas of process improvement, project definition, development plus implementation and specification of repair parts replacement items.
• Monitors the locations of vessels, maintenance of marine equipment, dry-docking schedules and activities.
• Designed, implemented and supervised installation of 440V/220V electrical system of IDHI Shipyard in Ormoc, Leyte. From planning stage, to design, construction and commissioning.
• Participates in the company's monthly strategic planning to achieve goals and objectives of the company as envisioned by the Company President.
TECHNICAL STAFF- SIERRA MADRE WATER CORPORATION
(January 2, 2011 to November 11, 2013)
• IDHI is the main shareholder of Sierra Madre Water Corp., proponent of a 2300MLD bulk water supply project that also generates 30MW hydro power. Project is set to meet increasing demands of Metro Manila for water supply.
• Provides engineering assistance to make sure compliance with all laws and regulations standard procedures and local policies are met.
• Represents the company in general meetings and public consultations. Prepares technical presentations, technical papers and technical drawings. Participates in obtaining necessary permits and environmental requirements for the project. Also assists in acquisition of lands affected by the project.

LUCKILY, I PASSED THE EXAM, WHICH GAVE ME MORE EDGE COMPARED TO OTHER ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS IN OUR COUNTRY.
