To be responsible for the revenue generation through the direct sales team who sell exhibition stands and sponsorship packages to achieve agreed sales targets.
Sell exhibition space and sponsorships in accordance with set targets to ensure the revenue budget is achieved and exceeded.
Develops long term account relationships through regular calls and visits, offering information on the customer’s sector and sending information
Identifies opportunities for cross-selling for colleagues on other events
To actively seek new customers from all relevant sources including trade press, competitors.
Provide the Event Director with weekly report detailing team activities and forecast.
Monitor sales figures and reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to enable senior management to be updated on the progress of the show and sponsorships.
Understand and manage the sales budget.
Direct reporting to the CEO of the company
Identifying new prospects and initiating contact for follow up
Taking client briefs and communicating them clearly to the team
Closing deals on new business
Account management - staying involved with new key clients through the production process (attending key meetings, staying in touch with the client, being on site)
Preparing and presenting new business presentations / credentials presentations
Communicate and coordinate appropriate account details to various teams and subcontractors in a timely fashion as per the policies and procedures to ensure client’s needs are known and dully met
Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Making quotes and proposals
Market research and finding avenues for new business opportunities
Strategic business development focused on certain industry sectors.
Visiting networking functions and exhibition events and diversifying your network
Leads, motivates and develops the team of sales Representatives.
Ensure timely Collection of Payment from the client, ensuring business continuity by ensuring healthy sales generation.
Establishing relationship with key decision makers at client site, obtaining vital information about client's requirements.
