• Implementation of Lean manufacturing concepts on the shop floor and training of other employees up to Green belt level.
• Utilisation of statistical analysis, Design of experiments & failure mode and effect analysis to reduce rework.
• Continuous improvement projects to reduce material consumption by 10% by applying six sigma techniques to eliminate waste.
• Establishing process parameters for different extrusion processes with XLPE, HDPE & PVC and preparing standard work documentation
• Manufacture of cables from 66kV to 400kV as per IEC standards

• Delivered weekly manufacturing reports, corrective and preventive action to process issues & presentations to technical & commercial managers.
• Commissioning of a 150m Vertical Continuous Vulcanisation machine (Troester) for manufacturing of extra high voltage cores & commissioning of HFSAB Lead extrusion line
• Carried out Vendor sourcing, assessment, comparison and development
As stand-in for the Plant Manager when he was called away on National Service for 9 months:

• Annual capacity planning to establish multi-year planning for capital projects

As Lead manufacturing engineer, my responsibilities comprised of optimising processes, reducing downtimes and cycle times, analysing existing systems and searching for viable alternatives to increase profitability. Apart from this I was also a member of the projects council and dealt with selection, appraisal, procurement and commissioning of extruders.
Won a scholarship at the University of Sheffield to the tune of 2000 GBP for outstanding undergraduate scores. Have been a part of several in depth projects through the course of my academics. • Designed a prototype gaming console for kids affected by cerebral palsy which achieved mention on BBC, Sheffield and won the Second place in the Technology Strategy and Business Planning Competition, Sheffield. • Certificate Course in Hydraulics and Pneumatics at Bosch Rexroth Centre, Mysore. • Topped the State level English exam and also attained 8.5 in the IELTS exam. • Certificate in Entrepreneurship from NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.
