Corporate Head of Food Safety, Health & Safety: handling HSEQ Compliance across
different catering divisions including Healthcare (Tawam, Al Ain Hospital, SKMC, SKSH),
Airline Catering for Etihad Airlines, Events and Exhibitions, Defense Sector (GHQ, Tawazun
Industrial Park) and other government sectors within the UAE.
• Managing the Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems in CCS for both Abu Dhabi
National Exhibition Company & Al Ain Convention Center. My scope of work increased in
2022 to include Airline Catering, Healthcare, and Defence sectors.
• Managing all HSEQ catering processes for the major events taking place inside and
outside of ADNEC, including but not limited to F1, ADIPEC, IDEX, ADIHEX, ADIBS, ADIBF,
AABF, FIFA, AAFC, WEC, WRC, Special Olympics, Nickelodeon, UFC, WUF, ISNR, UMEX, as well
as gala dinners, royal weddings, and other external hospitality functions.
• Handling all regulatory inspections and liaising with regulatory bodies (ADAFSA, DCT,
NCEMA, CPC, QCC, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge and competently handling all certification and client audits (Halal, ISO
22000, HACCP, USDA, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and OHSAS).
• Conducting internal audits and assurance inspections, risk assessments, guiding and
Implementing suppliers' evaluation processes, and network audits.
• Reviewing accident and incident investigations reports, NCRs, and handling customer
complaints.
• Providing support in developing, reviewing, and monitoring compliance plans aligned with
ADNEC Strategic objectives, setting KPIs and targets.
• Providing positive leadership and promoting the adoption of best practices and instilling
a safety culture.
• Liaising with the Maintenance & Projects department to oversee all preventive
maintenance plans, AMCs, CAPEX Projects, and other infrastructure enhancement
projects across all locations.
My Achievements to date:
• Promoted to Head of HSEQ after 9 months from joining the company.
• Appointed as Business Resilience Champion to assist ADNEC Group in business continuity
exercises.
• Appointed as Member of the Green Team handling all environmental initiatives.
• Nominated and participated in the Future Foresight Innovation Program where two ideas
got adopted by the Board of Chiefs.
• Nominated as part of the ADNEC Innovation Committee.
• Worked on EFQM Excellence Award Submission for Circular Economy 2019 where ADNEC
was declared the winner out of 5 short-listed companies.
• Built a strong relationship with Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and received a
recognition award for the commitment, and excellence in implementing food safety
standards and requirements.
• Appointed as a member of the ESG Committee for ADNEC in 2021.
• Participated and won the 2022 MECHF Award for Excellence in Kitchen & Food Safety.

HSEQ Consultant at ipack

Driving the creation and implementation of iPack's first IMS (ISO 9001:2015,
ISO14001:2015, OHSAS18001:2007) partially integrated with the BRC (IoP) for aseptic food
packaging including manuals, policies, procedures, checklists
• Managing and coordinating activities of the core team assigned to ensure proper
implementation of all policies and procedures.
• Planning and coordinating among working parties (Process Owner; Sub-Process owner) to
ensure that documentation is aligned in accordance with the system and process
approach.
• Responsible for coordinating with Abu Dhabi Regulatory Authorities namely: Abu Dhabi
Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center
(OSHAD), Environment Agency of Abu Dhabi (EAD), and Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (ADCD).
• Conducting quality, health, safety, and environmental risk assessments for the
Manufacturing site and proposing appropriate control measures to management.
• Successfully Recommended for Certification for the IMS (ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015,

Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager at Prunelle sal

- Initially hired as a Quality Controller for the food production process. Created cleaning checklists, work timetables, zoning, etc..;

- Worked on implementing the British Retail Consortium for Food Safety. Conducted gap analyses using the 5Ms concept (Machines, Manpower, Methods, Material & Milieu) & created an action plan for execution. Passed the audit test after 4 months with negligible findings;

- Promoted to Senior Quality Controller in Dec 2011. More staff were appointed to assist in completing the department’s target for 2012;

- Assured Prunelle’s quality standard & product image through: developing technical direction, handling customer complaints, controlling operations parameters, conducting trainings, internal audits & risk assessments;

- Promoted to QA/QC Dept Head in Aug 2012. Owners entrusted me with: managing plant expansions, supervising the production process and identifying the latest cost effective means/machinery to increase output;

- Dealt with suppliers, contractors and service providers to upgrade the plant infrastructure;

- Prepared a comprehensive budget/execution plan for an extensive plant upgrade starting with CADs to contractors appointment, micromanaging the project and delivering it in 6 months;

- Team members increased further by 3 for the Quality & Safety section and 8 for the Cleaning staff section;

- Played a key role in gaining the approval and sole supplier of high level clients namely: General Mills, Yum! Brands and Burger King;

- Developed methods and procedures (including documentations & agreements) to export Prunelle’s products to the GCC. Exhaustive R&D was conducted to extend natural shelf life threefold with no conservatives use;

- Spearheaded the coordination between Prunelle and a prominent group for a factory venture in UAE: Created an official corporate portfolio and provided support in relation to the new factory layout, GCC standards and regulatory requirements.
