• Review and audit trial balance and monthly data entry, reconcile general ledger accounts and perform monthly and yearly closing procedures for further reporting;
• Review expenditures and checks issued in accordance with updated budget variances;
• Prepare payroll so as to ensure timely payment of salaries and allowances, release payment letters and checks, and send emails to all related employees and prepare advance payments as per extra attendance tutorial sheets;
• Control monthly part time tutors’ salary sheets and send notification emails;
• Prepare periodic financial statements and accompanying notes (statement of financial position, statement of comprehensive activity, cash flows, etc.);
• Prepare the quarterly and annual payroll tax reports (R10, S2, R5, R6, R7 forms) and reconcile them with the accounting reports;
• Prepare the quarterly VAT Refund report to MOF (ق3-7) and audit VAT refund schedules along with all supporting documents;
• Coordinate with the Finance Department at AOU Headquarters in Kuwait to ensure accurate transactions and compliance with policies;
• Prepare and ensure timely submission of requested financial reports to the Finance Department at AOU Headquarters in Kuwait (bank status report, financial performance report, etc.);
• Prepare, at the management’s request, financial reports related to donors (AGFUND, KFAS, SPARK, BRITISH COUNCIL, CAWTAR……);
• Audit monthly bank reconciliation and suppliers;
• Prepare monthly budget reporting to compare actual figures with budgeted ones and detect and analyze variances;
• Prepare monthly cash forecast to determine the expected cash inflows, cash outflows, and expected cash balance;
• Work with external auditors and provide them with all needed data for interim and year-end audit;
• Cooperate and work with the internal auditors;
• Cooperate and work with the NSSF representative and review the monthly and annual NSSF schedule;
• Prepare the annual budget in collaboration with all departments;
• Supervise and follow up the preparation of legal papers for all staff, whether new or departing (resignation files, NSSF, bank letters, insurance, acquittal and tax reconciliation);
• Control the inventories of books, stationeries outlets, fixed assets coding, electronic physical count, and disposal calculations.
