• Manage Alcatel-Lucent 3G/HSDPA Radio Network Performance for Vodafone in Central and South area of Qatar (2 RNCs; 7 clusters; around 250 NodeBs; using 3 freq carriers (U900 & U2100)).
• Intensively monitoring and analysis 3G/HSDPA QOS KPI (RRC success rate, RAB Est. Success, CS-PS-HS DCR, IRAT SR, HHO SR, HS Throughput) in hourly, daily and weekly basis using NPO tools, apply required solution, create some zones / clusters, and escalate all 3G degradations not under RF scope.
• Handling cluster acceptance based on the agreement KPIs of drive test and network statistic with aggressive parameter tuning & physical antenna changes.
• Working on improvement of Radio Network Performance on cluster basis to meet the agreement KPIs acceptance (CSSR, DCR, ISHO-SR, HHO-SR, HSDPA throughput).
• Solve weekly worst cells analysis (CSSR, CDR, ISHO-SR, HHO-SR) by using NPO and e-Dat and provide solution for any parameter tuning / physical antenna changes.
• Working on daily Radio Network Performance report for each clusters including analysis and solution to improve KPI performance.
• Monthly check consistency of 3G RAN parameters in order to ensure parameters have been set properly (Alcatel-Lucent UA7).
• Using WPS, prepare and implement some 3G paramater strategic on RNC / Cluster basis to improve KPI for acceptance purpose (Idle Mode, Connected Mode, RRC Connection Setup Enhancement, Coumpounding Neighbor Lists, UL RL Synchronication, RRC Re-Establishment, NodeB capacity, UL Load, Cell Reselection, IMCTA alarm, Always On).
• Actively support for some features activation : EDCH Features (srb over DCH, TTI 2ms, macro diversity), HSUPA 5.7 and HSUPA 5.8. Also assist and make sure UTRAN team for upgrading the capacity (ATM, IP, CE) also clearing alarm (VCCs, Tx Instability, etc) before impelement the features.
• Utilization monitoring, capacity analysis and propose the capacity expansion (CPU Load, Power, IUB, CE).
• Drive test analysis for Cluster Acceptance, Monthly SLA, and Benchmarking analysis with QTEL using TEMS10, 11, 12/Actix/Gladiator. Find out network problems (dropped/blocked calls, SHO/IFHO/IRAT failures, missing neighbor and pilot pollution), and provide call trace using e-Dat (Access Invoked Call Trace - CTb) if needed.
• Working on coverage assessment based on drive test (RSCP, BLER, Tx Power, CQI) and propagation delay.
• 3G & IRAT neighbor audit & optimization using e-Dat (Neighbouring Call Trace - CTn).
• Working on consistency check of 3G-2G database (LAC, RAC, CI, NCC, BCC & BCCH).
• VIP customer complaint handling.
• Optimize the antennas tilt and orientation based on drive test analysis.
• Working closely with Femto / IBS teams to make sure Femto / IBS cell is working properly and neighbor created between macro sites and Femto / IBS cells.
• Active support re-homing acivities : provide radio network performance monitoring and analysis after re-homing done and escalated for degradation sites related with Re-homing.
• Live UTRAN monitoring alarm and escalate if any issues occured by using WMS.
• Advanced RF analysis, root cause trouble shooting and call trace by using NPO and e-Dat (CTa, CTb, CTg, CTn).
• Interface with 3G ALU BO, Operation & Maintenance and also 3G FO teams to follow-up and solve any issue in the network.
