The brief duties and responsibilities in current job are outlined as follows:
•Carrying out regular site safety inspection of construction works near aprons/airside to identify unsafe conditions/acts/equipments/tools & giving solutions through (3-Es) Engineering, Education & Enforcement
•Ensuring the repair for cut-off of the live U/G utilities and obtaining, managing all the W.permits from the concerned authorities prior commencement of earthwork tasks.
•Investigate, assess damage to utility services and generate damage reports
•Promoting safety for construction workers near airfield and assuring the effectiveness of safety risk assessment as required in Safety Management System - GACA(R) regulations
•Ensure that the construction works at airside/apron area are being conducted as planned out and in accordance with airport’s safety and security rules.
•Generating & maintaining HSE reports (Approx. covers all types of reports), documentations and filing
•Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, key performance indicators (KPIs) & client/consultant required documents.
•Conducting inspection and walkthrough with client safety and airport operations personnel and reporting the findings, make sound recommendations to concern section in-charge for prompt corrective action.
•Creating safety awareness among workers through Tool box talks, Safety induction/ Orientation, In house HSE trainings and preparing JSTI & JHA for activities to look at how risks could be reduced or eradicated
•Monitoring & ensuring that work activities at site are in accordance with safe work procedures
•Participate actively in client’s OHSAS compliance audit and follow-up the observations or non-compliances till closeouts.
•Managing the liaison with KAIA safety, security and operations units.
•Maintaining department schedule; arranging meetings, training sessions and assisting section head in evaluation of site HSE Officers as per their performance and report submission.
•Supporting the functions of departmental strategic planning and organizational development with clerical assistance, project activities and development of safe systems and procedures.
•Provide professional advice to team mates and develop strategies that enable the HSE Department to lead in the local market.
•Supervise & participate in the implementation of the health, Safety & environment management system to ensure adherence to company’s established HSE guidelines, Standard & codes of practice.
