Operation Management
• To monitor the process parameters and identify the deviations and problems with the equipment for timely action.
• To provide daily operating instructions to the production staff.
Planning
• To ensure smooth, safe and efficient operation of DR Plant by efficient planning of Raw Material / Operational activities / Safety health & environment / Procurement / /Shutdown Spares & services /Project related areas.
Budgeting & Cost Control
• Preparation and proposing accurate annual budgets for Direct Reduction Plant & seek management approval to implement the Direct Reduction Production plan effectively.
Policies & Procedures
• Preparation of operational procedures & Ensures the implementation of operational procedures covering all areas of Direct Reduction plant so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled with a smooth, safe & efficient operation.
Material Management:
• Assessing requirement of chemicals / spares / services / other additional requirements; indenting material; technical evaluation of offers, interfacing with Procurement and Purchase Department for on time availability of technically approved indented material.
• Governing the planning for storage and use of material.
Routine Activities:
• Preparation of analyzing charts, Purchase requisitions, production schedules, and other records and reports, in order to determine requirements and outputs and to evaluate estimates.
• Basics of delay analysis.
• Monitoring the mass balance on day to day basis and delay analysis.
• Being a part of erection & commissioning activities taking part in the commissioning activities related with process & operation.
• Managing databases.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Shutdown Planning, Execution & controlling.
• Evaluating feasibility for any modifications required for plant.
• Monitoring activities of personnel towards ensuring adherence to safety norms.
• Deploying review systems to control execution of Activities on time and as per selected standards.
