Working in partnership with NCM (National Meteorology Center) the old GAMEP (General Authority of Meteorology & Environment Protection) Officials, advising them how to benefit from the Information Technology as well as Cyber Security in order to meet their business objectives and overcome operational problems.
The main aim is to improve the Operation & Maintenance structure and efficiency using Information Technology as well as Cyber Security systems in various parts of NCM and the transformation to paperless digital environment.
I am currently managing the IT of a large group of companies mostly related to construction field, am responsible for the effective operation of IT services and support across the enterprise and reporting to an IT steering Committee.
My responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• IT project management, resource management, supervision of IT staff, lead IT steering committee, as well as communication with partner companies, executive team, business unit leaders, and end users.
• Plan and develop IT strategic and tactical plans, as well as identifying, selecting, and deploying the appropriate technology resources that will support corporate goals and objectives.
• Plan, develop, and manage all IT services, systems, and support throughout the enterprise.
• Assist senior management with the direction and facilitation of IT strategic and tactical planning.
• Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity.
• Oversee project management for IT-related undertakings.
• Hire, staff, and supervise a skilled team of IT professionals
• Guide the professional development of IT personnel.
• Assist in developing and managing a budget for technology, IT services, and IT team members.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases; oversee warranties and service agreements.
• Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and customers.
Apart of that, I am assisting in analyzing, and leading the Programmers team for developing of a portfolio level ERP solution which is an automation solution for the operations of our group of companies covering the various fields of contracting, trading and servicing organization activities.
