o Carrying out administrative tasks such as data input, processing information, completing paperwork and filing documents.
o Petty cash payments and reconciliation
o Maintaining accounting databases by entering data into the QuickBooks Systems; processing backups.
o Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
o Invoice processing by verifying general ledger accounting codes have been applied correctly, proper approval has been obtained and the company policy has been followed.
o Process remittance information from checks, drafts and wire transfers for invoices provided by local or overseas vendors.
o Credit check new customers and open new credit accounts ensuring the company has all the relevant information on the debtor.
o Ensure that credits are received in a timely manner. Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales
o Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
o Monthly reconciliation of accounts with Vendors.
o Assist in improving creditors systems to improve overall finance team efficiency.
o Prepare various month end adhoc reports to ensure accuracy on a monthly and annual basis.
o Inventory revaluation as and when required.
o Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Finance Manager.
